“Cases” is such a broad term. I assume it includes people who tested positive but had no symptoms. The delta virus replicates faster than your vaccine immunity can respond. So you can be positive for a few days, then your immune system kicks in, and you are protected. Several studies suggest vaccine immunity is stronger than natural immunity. Ive seen others that suggest the opposite. Like 72 said, you can use stats and various studies to prove your point, regardless of what side of the fence you are on. I personally find the precautions taken to go into an Aggie football game as reasonable, and I feel safer there than at Walmart :).

When Hunter was throwing aces, his mobility kept the defense honest. He could do it with his legs if he had to. This helped open up lanes for Gilliam. I like Miles, but the lack of mobility allows the defense to focus on our backs. EW often had all their dbs moved up to about 5 yards deep, with just one deep guy. I’m not sure if you can coach mobility into a qb. I think Miles is going to be a good one, but not this year.

I think the most recent teams we’ve played have focused on Gilliam and shutting down our run game. With a QB that is not a run threat, we are forced to pass. I noticed that EW had their defensive backs up close most of the game with just one deep guy. I was optimistic after the first half. Next week might be a nightmare.

I guess my concern is that the EWU struggles are somewhat of a false flag. The last 2 weeks they play 2 of the toughest defenses in the Big Sky and MSU specifically might have one of the best defenses in all of FCS. EWU still only lost by 3 to them. The 2 weeks before the losses they dropped 71 on Idaho and 63 on Northern Colorado. I just worry because our defense hasn't been tested by a particularly potent offense all season.

And add to that the fact we historically struggle with mobile QBs. EB3 is one of the best. He really torched us at the end of the playoff game with about a 60 run. Our offense is going to have to move the ball and score when in the red zone.

Yeah, its hard for me to be confident. But, if O line is healthy and we dont turn it over, who knows?
