Runs up the middle were working. The. We abandon them. A bit similar to first game.

Well there not listening to me. Sweeps won’t work

Got to honor lanes on defense. And get more penetration.

I’d keep running up the middle. Too much speed on outside

you have a fast internet or cable service if your post was after that FG.

Wow. How big is the penalty assessed on the extra point - potentially. Seems dumb to penalize spinning a ball, but lesson is don’t go there until game over.

Can you believe that penalty! Weber guy punched too.
  • 2018 QUARTERFINALS
Haven’t seen or heard them on the TV. All band shots are of Maine band.
  • 2018 QUARTERFINALS
Home team has no band. Visiting team’s band travels great distance to be at game with decision to go happening only after last weeks victory and due to an anonymous donation. Sound familiar? ...outside of number of donors.
  • 2018 QUARTERFINALS
Yah officials don’t look to real decisive.
  • 2018 QUARTERFINALS
Maine has the better offense. Maine completely shutting down Weber run game and many tackles for loss. I’d say Weber fortunate to be this close - and that due to a Hail Mary on 4th down.

not a bad strategy, especially in the cold. It would be interesting to get stats on the proportion of returned kickoffs that were returned past the 25 yard line. My guess is < 0.5. Plus no chance of fumbling during the return.

Ball security and defense are obvious keys to the game. Getting penetration to disrupt the running game, not to mention pressure on Barriere will be important. I thought the Ags played maybe their best defensive game of the year last week and I think they are improved. In my mind the defense won the UNI game and it is kind of nice that you can win without putting up 40 points. EWU is more potent, of course, but the goal is still to keep them in check, and do it for more than one half. Desire will be a big key too (see Biggs quote about CWU game). They need to want it but keep under control. This is all obvious stuff but my point is that it will depend on much more than Maier. Everybody has to do their part.

Man that sportscaster looks like he just got off his horse.
  • FCS Playoffs Round 2: UNI @ UC Davis
Agreed. I think flexibility is the difference although TT is developing well as a receiving option. His run for a critical first down in the last drive was awesome, and illustrated his strength I think. In my mind, those first downs despite the failed FG that would have sealed it, were a big factor in the victory since it changed field position substantially.

A Benjamin here. Thanks to comptroller (wife) for approving. Being a band-uh alum back in the days when we went to all games, it was the band experience that made me an enduring fan of Aggie football. We were essentially the cheering/spirit section. Brass - Bring plastic mouthpieces!
  • Round 2 - FCS PLAYOFFS
Just saw Houston on the local cable news network accepting his new position at East Carolina. Much better than going to Charlotte. ECU has good fan support.

    Result: Visiting team won
I am sure some of you have already rung in on your Jeopardy buzzer
    Let’s have an encore!
  • FCS Playoffs Round 2: UNI @ UC Davis
the first pick was on Preece. Really should of had it, and had he been paying attention might have helped stop the runaway freight train return deep in UNI territory. Second pick was very perplexing. Seems like the Aggie left takle had a difficult time. The UNI guy (right DE?) was really bringing the heat and Jake is not the most mobile if QBs so threw him off a bit.

The throw that Preece should have caught for TD would of put the game away pretty much. Bottom line is D came through and I think in a way giving D a chance to step up and using running game at critical time were good experiences. Playoff games are different beasts and you have to really step it up.
