Looks like rocko may have payed a visit to the Tahoe center.. and potentially unr, but what the heck does “exciting things ahead Aggie nation. Stay cool, think blue” mean?!?
  • Low Interest in Men's Basketball?
Campus has put signs pushing Saturdays game at the MU, COHO, and library. I also saw a group of cheerleaders handing out flyers walking around campus today asking people if they are going to the game. All good stuff!

Davis is including free pizza and boba for the last 2 games.

Passed this today. Looks like the athletic department took our suggestion into account and put some signage on the quad.
  • Ag’s tie d1 run record
This team really is fun to watch. Tommy Nicholson may prove to be an incredible hire. He has gotten some studs.
  • 2025 NFL Draft Thread
Teddy was featured on the NFL instagram today. Really cool to see him getting screentime!
  • Post-Season for the Big West
I like the Henderson venue... but actual question, why is the championship in Las Vegas? Like actually? I get that SoCal is closer to Vegas than us in Davis but it still seems ridiculously out of the way.

I think it may, but travel to SLC is easier than Hawaii IMO. Im conflicted on this idea for a few reasons. First of all, Utah Valley does have a large and growing enrollment, a good basketball program, nice arena, close to a big metro, and fits the football-less Big West. My issues pertain to UVU not having stellar attendance (although compared to the rest of the Big West its not bad), being a small fish in a big pond for SLC metro relevance, and with past reference to football (although that idea seems pushed back heavily), and geographic location, could be potentially temporary.

Now when it comes to Cal Baptist, I think it could be a good move, since they have decent facilities and donors, but I don't totally understand adding a private, religious university in the conference, especially with a smaller student population. I also don't see Cal Baptist having a historically big fan base or metro fanbase. More up in the air about that one.

thank GOD someone said it. I was borderline yelling at the tv. Just so annoying, so inconsistent, and so frustrating.

I don’t know about psychological toughness, that seemed like more of a slow burn (albeit 7 of the last minutes)

First time winning in Davis for CSUN in 16 years. Damn. This one hurts.

This is an interesting excerpt I missed from the Big West commissioner’s blog post reacting to UC Davis leaving to join the Mountain West:

“ On Tuesday, Dec. 10, The Big West Board of Directors and I were informed that UC Davis will depart The Big West after the 2025-26 academic year. It was unfortunate news, but each institution must do what they believe is best for their institution. The non-merger of the Pac-12 and Mountain West, combined with aspirations of FBS football, has continued to drive NCAA Division I western realignment. There is more information below, but I am thankful we get to keep UC Davis through 2025-26”.

Could he know something we don’t when it comes to future plans? We shall see.
