no longer an attendance or seating minimum from the NCAA. The Mountain West may have their own internal parameters though. I think an Aggie stadium with a berm filled and some addition seating to get to 18-20k would be a good size for our types of attendance, price and overall feel of the stadium in addition to the new suites area
Great game. Really happy with our offense in the last few games. Quite a bit more power than I expected from the bats thus far, especially against a team that split a series with the Golden Bears.
Hm.. hopefully just needs a day but that would be a bummer. Might have just overextended himself in that first series but we shall see, hoping for the best. Wooldridge will be worth watching, I'll be curious how him going 2-way this early will look.
I was looking at stadiums comparable to what UCDHS could look like after a long term future renovation and I think Utah State's stadium is pretty comparable of what it could look. The stadium is similarly built into a raised berm and sunken into the center. Filling in one of the berms at UCDHS, building the new suites (granted smaller than the Utah State one) and adding additional seating to the other side could easily be done in this style as a mini-version. I could imagine something like 20k or so capacity.
I think something like a hybrid of the USU stadium and the stadium at Southern Illinois (that I have mentioned previously) would be awesome and we already have a great foundation.
I went back and watched some of the game after seeing this thread. Seems like having work last night saved me from the disappointment. I cannot believe those last 5 minutes. What’s up with us just running clock and then trying to go for these shots that were doomed from the start. Reminds me of what Les set up with TY a bit in the past few years where he just went for these stupid big shots that were rushed at the end of the game after running down the clock until it’s too late to save it.
Really a bummer, will be a good test to see if we can bounce back.
