I'd believe it. My great grandparents were 1st generation Finnish-Americans, after Ellis Island, they went west, they tried Michigan and didn't like it (said the people were too dry and quiet...THESE ARE FINNS SAYING THIS) and ended up settling in Naselle, Washington. They flourished in the logging and marine industries of SW Washington. My great uncle Oscar actually had patents for choking various tree species, as well as engines and marine propulsion. His death in Seattle was a bit of a family legend, we all believed he was moonlighting with a dental assistant and his heart gave out from the effort.

I do suspect that my great grandparents weren't much for copper mining, and didn't like the extreme cold. Most of the Finns went to the upper peninsula in Michigan...maybe the cold made them dull, ha ha Funny thing was, those lessons from Michigan must have sunk in, because the whole Naselle, SW Washington area became the biggest copper production center in the world...made more money than the entire California Gold Rush.

It's a 4-1/2 hr drive to Tulsa from Dallas, and a 1-1/2 hr drive from Oklahoma City to Tulsa.

...and as smarterray said, Southwest looks to have very cheap flights from Oakland with single connectors Wednesday night. Approx. 5.5 hour travel time to Tulsa (from Oakland and Sac), going for Wanna Get Away Costs looks like abou $315 round trip depending on when you leave and return.

Would recommend taking W, Th and F off to anybody working, shortest flights out of CA are in the morning on Wednesday (as of right now).

Regarding Kelley, I do not know what kind of a student he was, but Ron Gould was HC at the time and had 3, maybe 4, former disciples playing RB in the NFL at the time. The Aggies ran a run-first, pro-style offense, so if I were Kelley I think it'd be more translatable to the next level, assuming he was thinking along those lines with his kind of talent. He ended up at UCLA anyway, so it didn't seem to matter in the end. He looked different on the field in Davis, even as a, what, freshman? He was clearly an elite player at the FCS level.

Ha, so while the balance and quality of people are there for somebody in Davis, when you're shooting for the top of the top, it really is a sacrifice on your time and your life balance to get there and get a shot at it.

It's going to be South Dakota State and Sam Houston State in Frisco, TX. Default home game for the Bearkats. The Jacks absolutely manhandled Delaware, it wasn't even close. SHSU has had the tougher run through the playoffs, but South Dakota State really is firing on all cylinders right now.
