  • Week 4: Stetson at UC Davis
We are blessed with riches at QB in Davis - we have two, probably 3 guys who could start at various schools in the FCS.
  • UC Davis Future FBS Matchups
Talking with a co-worker, Kent State gets $1.9 Million to come to Columbus on 9/19.
  • Week 4: Stetson at UC Davis
We do need continuity at QB.
  • UC Davis Future FBS Matchups

Well, at this rate, that'd take a lot of faith and play blessed by Kirby Moore. FBS is cutthroat - you don't get 2 or 3 years to figure it out, you gotta find a way to win. FCS isn't much different.
  • 2026 Week 3: UC Davis @ SMU

Well, that's a good point. If travel/lodging was paid for as well, I don't know, is that standard (?), not the worst trip to FBS-land
  • UC Davis Future FBS Matchups

There it is - contract with the Bison void going forward.

So looks like we have 3 pretty good match-ups in the next three years...this includes a Big 10 opponent for two of them, so, given that massive tv contract that Big 10 teams get - there should be a sizable payday coming to Davis for both games, right?

...and less jet fuel exhaust coming out from Staten Island!
  • 2026 Week 3: UC Davis @ SMU

This is all true...literally 3 Big Sky vs. Mountain West games on last weekend.
  • Week 4: Stetson at UC Davis
Clips from Stetson @ Bethune-Cookman last Saturday in Daytona.
    Final Score was Bethune-Cookman 43 - Stetson 18

  • Tailgate Scene 2026
We'll probably mosey down to the practice field a bit too.
  • 2026 Week 3: UC Davis @ SMU
Seems to be true that - the lower tier the FBS team, the less you get paid, the better your chances of competing...you know 5 of those lower 6 were FCS wins, and UNC was in that game @ Wyoming.

I'll say that NDSU may be the most impressive Mountain West Football team this season if things continue to play out -- results from last week alone:
    North Texas smokes UNLV 44-6
Northern Colorado battles Wyoming and loses 13-21
    New Mexico stomps Mercyhurst 70-7
Illinois State beats Northern Illinois 28-24
San Jose State gets past Cal Poly 20-30
UTEP whoops FCS Texas Southern 51-10
NDSU outlasts Air Force 38-32, that was in Colorado Springs by the way, and a huge Bison fan turnout.
Montana State beats Nevada 20-7 in Reno
Hawai'i wins at home against a not so good New Mexico State squad 29-19
  • Tailgate Scene 2026
So, SochorField and myself will be set up in Champions Corridor - somewhere...trying to decipher the ticketing with the tailgate spots.

We've been engineering so we should have live football on if you want to come by. Look for the banner. Guessing we get there around 3. Right in the heat.

It's also about leadership - and I understand that Treynor has been an incredible leader, and certainly has worked hard enough for Tim to name him the starter against the QB prototype in Kollock. Then again, we all see some inconsistency, the kind of missed plays that will not be acceptable against Montana, Eastern Washington, Southern Utah, Northern Colorado, Idaho or Cal Poly.
