Patriots open against the Raiders at home, Sunday 9/7 at 10 am PST. If Lan makes the New England squad, that would mean former NDSU QB Cam Miller, Former Montana State QB/ATH/WR Tommy Mellott and former Aggie RB Lan Larison would all be on the same field Week 1 to open the 2025 Regular NFL season. Miller and Mellott were both drafted by Las Vegas last spring. Reports from Raiders camp are that Miller is showing very well for a rookie QB and that Mellott has "Yet to Flash", granted Mellott is undergoing a position change from QB to ATH for the offense - but so far either Chip Kelly hasn't put Tommy in a position to succeed, or Tommy isn't taking too well to the change.

Lan needs to ball out on Thursday, every play matters.

I, for one, think Sac is really going to be strong this season. See a lot of talent being integrated quickly, and with the GoGo hitting the field in Year 1 for the Big Sky -- like Plough did in Year 1 -- I think it'll be very creative and tough to stop early and often. Whatever league Sac is in in 2026, I think it'll be tougher for the Hornets, because it'll be a higher echelon of talent to compete against and there will be a full year of tape for teams to analyze...but this season, 2025, I see Sac as being a team to far exceed expectations even with all the new personnel.

I imagine Coombs has been dissecting UNLV tape quite a bit since the announcement of Coach Marion coming to Sac.

Remember in 2018 when a young Gilliam and a thundering Tehran Thomas were the 1-2 punch in the backfield...Modise with the speed on occasion.

Fisher and Vargas have the talent to reach that level.

Probably should expect it by opening day September 20 vs Southern Utah at UCDHS. It would be a great way to roll out the renderings when the fans first show up, probably with an early preview to donors, staff, student-athletes, students and media.
