Just got done listening to the interview. Just has me even more excited for Aggie football. It really sounds like Dr. Blue and Hawkins have big plans to move this program forward!

It seems like something that would be too simple of a fix for our old athletics department, so clearly it would never get changed. Maybe Dr. Blue can try to make it happen. I don't know what goes on in the background of planning the schedule and times, but it seems like a no brainer to me to have the games in the evening at a standard time like you said. Then you can move the team back in front of the students.

Maybe the sun and heat wouldn't be as much of a problem if we had more evening/night games. We have lights, why do we have so many afternoon games?

The most important thing we have to do to get butts in the stadium is win some damn football games. Winning will get people back watching and bring some energy to a lifeless stadium. Easier said than done, but free t-shirts will only go so far with a fan base.

Whatever happened to candy, tube sock, and bead madness?

Also we need energetic Aggie Pack Leaders again. They used to really get the student section pumped up and into the game. The student section used to be bigger because we were winning, but you have to be able to get them excited for the game.

I wonder what kind of coaches that Hawk is planning on surrounding himself with? Gould had a pretty young staff all the way through. Is Hawk going to going to go for older more experienced guys?

If the rumor is true... maybe we can throw some of that money into a fund for a new video board. Not critical to the success of the program or anything, but damn our current board is baaaaaaaaaaad.

If the rumors that we heard before hold true, then Ron is moving to Fresno... lucky him. I wish Gould all the best if he does end up there. I have been refreshing footballscoop.com and coachingsearch.com to see if anything pops up about what Hawkins plans to do, but nothing yet. He did say in the presser that he knows a lot of people and he didn't come into this with a preset staff so I hope he takes the time to find the right people... that being said, he can't take too long because we have recruiting to do.

What are competitive rates for coordinators and positional coaches in FCS?

I agree with GunRock, that is embarrassingly low for our positional coaches. We can only hope that Dr. Blue is finding the resources necessary to make our football program successful again.

EWU's Kupp and Hill were clearly the 2 best receivers in the Big Sky, but Doss had very similar stats to NAU's Butler who got the last spot on the 1st team. Butler had less than 100 more yards total on the season than Doss, while Doss had 1 more TD. You could have made an argument for him to have made it this year.

I'll admit that I did laugh a bit... then the nightmares came flooding back.
