• MBB: Aggies (19-11 & 11-4) @ UC Irvine (18-13 & 11-4) Big West Championship Game
Davis getting slaughtered out of the gate. UCD down 2-12
  • MBB: Long Beach State (13-17 & 6-8) @ the Aggies (17-11 & 9-4) ESPN Game
Man when Schneider turned it over at the very end of the game and then we didn't get the buzzer beater tip in I was almost positive we were going to lose in OT. It's just tough to get back into the mental state to play another 5 minutes of basketball after all of that. What a game, it's always fun to win on TV! GO AGS!
  • MBB: Long Beach State (13-17 & 6-8) @ the Aggies (17-11 & 9-4) ESPN Game
Aggies up 31-29 at half. Too many turnovers and letting LB get away with way too much from behind the 3 point line.
  • Coach Gould
Congratulations Coach! While I am very happy he is no longer here at UCD (as a coach, not a person) I am equally as happy that he was able to land another job. Stanford is a great program and I'm sure that he will find success there.

Good question! HERO Sports had our 2016 class ranked at #17
  • 2017 Recruiting
HERO Sports ranks Davis' recruiting class #31 in FCS. Pretty good for a brand new coach!

Great minds think alike, I was halfway through posting a comment about Harmon dropping his Cal Poly commitment. He's not coming here, I also think he got a last minute deal from Cal. I remember articles being posted before he committed to CP that he wanted to play for Cal.

Good enough for me. I'll update the list when I'm not on mobile.
  • MBB: CSU Fullerton (10-11 & 4-4) @ the Aggies (14-9 & 6-2)
Aggies get the win 74-65! Lemar finishes the night with 29 points, Schneider with 17.
  • MBB: CSU Fullerton (10-11 & 4-4) @ the Aggies (14-9 & 6-2)
Aggies up 33-31 at halftime with Brynton Lemar leading the way with 18 points.

Unfortunately for Suc, I think they are suffering from some of the similar problems we were under Gould. You can land impressive athletes, but if you have no idea what to do with them you aren't going to be winning too many games. After back to back 2-9 seasons, I thought that they might start looking for new options for HC, but apparently they are giving Sears another chance.

Like I have said elsewhere, I'm really just looking for improvement this year... any kind of improvement. While it would be nice, as a fan I'm not really aiming at conference championship or anything this next year. I agree that Hawkins won't make a lot of the same mistakes that Gould was making (clock management, questionable play calling, ect).
  • MBB: Aggies (13-8 & 5-1) @ Cal Poly (6-15 & 1-6)
Well, unfortunately the Aggies cold streak at the beginning of the game comes back to haunt them as they fall 70-74. Too many turnovers and it took too long to start heating up on the 3's.
  • MBB: Aggies (13-8 & 5-1) @ Cal Poly (6-15 & 1-6)
Yeah I know we've had our inconsistencies this season, but we're only down by 4. We've come back from a whole lot worse this season. I think the boys got it in em to bring this one back.
  • MBB: Aggies (13-8 & 5-1) @ Cal Poly (6-15 & 1-6)
Well... Aggies find themselves down by 4 at halftime, 28-32. Game is far from over, but shooting 0% from beyond the 3 point line is hurting (although it's only on 4 attempts). Gotta heat up just a little bit in the 2nd half and we got this.
  • NLI Signing Day 2017
I haven't read the articles, but you are correct. Daniel Whelan, our new freshman punter, kicked something like a 72 yard field goal in practice, not O'Rourke.
  • WBB: Aggies (15-6 & 6-2) @ Cal Poly (7-12 & 3-4)
Sloppy, but a win is win! 61-53 GO AGS!
  • NLI Signing Day 2017
I thought there was an article out awhile ago that had Hawk talking about how they were dramatically changing the weight training program for the team and that they thought that would help to decrease our plague of injuries. I agree with what he was saying though, every team has injuries. It's how you handle those problems that determines success or failure. Unfortunately, under Gould our system wasn't prone to adaptability.

Well you guys sure have me pumped up. Hawkins and staff are saying all of the right things right now. They just need to show improvement on the field, any improvement at all and I will be really stoked. Also, no or little power run game? Please and thank you, so tired of seeing us try to force it the last several years.

Any more details in general from the staff? Sounds like it was a fun event.
