Maier is already showing the skill set to be an old school great Aggie QB. He's accurate, makes good decisions, and most all is calm, cool, and collected. I know we only have 3 games worth of data on him, but he just has the look of a stellar QB.
Hawkins must have recognized that Coach Creighton was doing a good job recruiting despite the team doing poorly as he managed to keep his job in the transition. I haven't paid a lot of attention to if we are using Preece at all as a blocking TE or not, but he sure made an impact in the PSU game as a receiver.
Yeah I was just looking at the stats from their games. Running is just about the only thing they have going for them. Now I kinda want to read the article to see what their point it.
I don't have a sub, but ooof looks like Stanford is turning on him already. He really did have a lot of success at Cal with running backs. I wonder if he changed coaching philosophies for the worse somewhere along the line.
Awesome! I'm still trying really hard not to get too hyped considering we've only played 3 games in the Hawkins era, but it's kind of crazy how we are starting to turn heads a little bit. The attention is weird considering we've been nothing but a Big Sky bottom feeder for such a long time.
Hey man welcome to the board! Should be a good game this weekend. I wish I could make the trip out there unfortunately got I got a bunch of stuff going on but I will definitely be watching online. Aggie fans haven't been this excited about the program in the better part of a decade so hopefully Jake Maier can put on a nice little passing exhibition for you guys 8-)
Also this is kinda neat. The UC Davis @ Weber State game was nominated for game of the week over EWU @ Montana on the Any Given Saturday website. Just a couple games into the Hawkins era and we are starting to turn heads.
New offer on 2 star DE Zach Ritner. He's made a visit to Davis, but he is a highly recruited kid (has double digit offers, mostly FBS). Had 18 sacks last season as a junior.
