Another big man departure. I'm not sure why we recruit them.
  • Cal Poly-Humboldt
    Wow. 30 grow sites ...
  • Cal Poly-Humboldt
The person I knew in a LE related position helped make large & small busts. A bust he helped lead was right under everyone's nose, and made him wonder how many were paid to look away, or worse. Larger grow ran by a few illegal immigrants out in the forests, and possibly threatened / coerced by the MM.
  • Cal Poly-Humboldt
I'm told rat poison & other nasty chemicals are used on public lands and pollute our waterways. Land area too vast, and employees too lethargic or unmotivated to root it out.
  • 3 new Commits & coaching changes
Great to add Povey for some OL depth.
  • Cal Poly-Humboldt
Noted. But I don't think teens are drinking old vine Zin.
  • Cal Poly-Humboldt
How far we've come, promoting a drug that can reduce a teenager's IQ by up to 10% (changing 4 areas of the brain) and also proven to affect word recall (duh). (Spicoli?)
  • Other Schools' Facilities
I have no take in either, but Texas Roadhouse & Krispy Krunchy (gas station) Chicken are awesome. TR offers you free out of the oven biscuits as you wait, and fall off the bone baby back ribs. My friend loves their steaks and modest pricing. I was impressed that an iceberg salad tasted so good... sourcing and salad dressing made on site? KKC pressure cooks their chicken w Cajun spices...also great regular & blueberry biscuits. Make sure to check online reviews, execution varies by location.

Do you like the Rivercat & San Jose Giants AAA facilities?

P.S. Davis has gas station Chinese food in South Davis. Decent and best price in town.
  • Other Schools' Facilities
I've had breakfast there once, it was OK. I wish more places didn't freeze everything. Texas Roadhouse BBQ figured it out - a full time baker & meat cutter at every location. Everything made fresh. (One in Tracy & Fairfield.)
  • Other Schools' Facilities
Maybe a Jurassic Park move can bring it back one day?
  • Other Schools' Facilities
What ever happened to conserving precious fertile agriculture lands? Amazon and other warehouses aren't helping in Tracy and elsewhere. So considering these and previous points, Fresno, Bakersfield and other spots seem more logical.
  • Other Schools' Facilities
Plenty of land. The primary goal of getting more Central Valley kids into a UC was mentioned several times. Then generic comments, not from officials, that the UC doesn't want to 'share' a city which already has a CSU campus, i.e. can't go to Fresno. I guess UC Table Mountain didn't sound right.

Bobcat athletics led by a man from UCD club sports.

No modest venue for concerts, graduation, & big games? ... I guess concerts are down and 'electric dance carnivals' with DJs and 80-90% on drugs are now the norm?
  • Bison QB goes #3 to the 49ers
QB highlights vs MSU. 21 / 31... a couple of nice play action plays.

Since you're our facilities expert, how does the Hornets Nest rank against small high school gyms & old Hickey?
  • 2022 Football Recruiting
Rooting for them all. Coaches get to see practice and film every day. We didn't have the strongest spring schedule yet our passing numbers were off, especially compared to Maier / Doss.
  • UCD students file class-action lawsuit over PE elimination
Thank you. Another step for the University taking student space, so they can make more $$$, to pay for more administrator salaries? An ASUCD student body president signed over the bookstore for I think $10,000, and received a letter of recommendation to graduate school.

FTR, I wasn't challenging you on Mrak. I heard he was great, engaged students, held retreats with student leaders in Tahoe, etc. A food & Ag researcher. When he retired I heard he would sometimes hang out in the old Alumni center... I should have said hello. Meyer reportedly reserved, bookish, the institution supported him, rode a bike,, didn't want the campus to grow, and his second wife (?) wasn't necessarily friendly or warm.

I liked Ted Hullar, but he sure upset the status quo crowd, and I have no idea of his day-to-day effectiveness. He bought more land for the campus, pushed for growth and DI athletics.

I thought the MU was just spiffed up, how did it go backwards? Are there any links to what's going on with KDVS?

Student Affairs appears loaded with layers of administrators we never had before, and probably few Aggies.

Did you meet Mrak? If so, what was he like? Chancellor May seems like a likeable person and sharp, but odds are low he retires here.

Can you tell us how you really feel? Provocative.

The article seems lacking in places. Didn't the Referendum support ICA and PE? We're not Ohio State, and your "administrators" seem intent on erasing many of our unique qualities. Who benefits? Coaches who come here from big time programs and don't want to teach, administrators who have a new source of money to play with ($2 Million?), and Campus Recreation which gets to charge (fleece?) students for classes they formerly took for free?

We should be expanding PE and intramural opportunities, not reducing them.

Do you have other specific examples of these administrators? Eliminating the Cal Aggie Marching Band and (illegally?) taking their endowments?

I don't know Coaches Barbara Hahn or Darryl Lee well, but I really appreciate their input.
