Not saying we're not deserving, but it wasn't clear cut like it was last year that we were getting a bye. Just seemed like there were a lot of decent teams in there that could have gotten the 8 also and I wouldn't have been upset if we got seeded 12th or whatever.

I really thought that Idaho St loss was going to cost us a bye.

I know they said it didn't count, but I wonder if the Mercer game played any sort of a role in us getting the 8 seed.

I figured we were locked into 9-16 with the announcement about tickets being available for season ticket holders for a game next weekend.

Kind of sucks that we get NDSt in the next game if we win our first game.

Good to see Lehigh didn't get rewarded for going undefeated with a crap schedule. Didn't understand that brackets that had them at 3 or 4 ahead of Montana.

They shouldn't. And neither should NAU. Big Sky should be a 3 bid league this year. NAU would have had an argument had they won yesterday, but getting thumped by a 4-8 Weber was the nail in the coffin.

Getting 12 or 13 wouldn't be bad either. To play NDSt, we'd have to win 3 games to play NDSt and then it would be in the national semifinals.

Would just be nice to not be matched up in the second round with either of the Montana's or NDSt.

That being said, let's just win the home game next weekend and whatever happens from there is gravy.

Man when we were down 27-17, I thought for sure we'd be ruing those couple turnovers that cost us at least 10 points. The first one we gave them 7 points because of the return (maybe more since we had a 1st and 10 in Sac territory) and the second one we were at their 15 so we should have gotten 3 out of that at least.

Yep. NAU was No. 23 in the STATS poll, Sac wasn't ranked. Both will get less votes after today. And they're not 7-5 because of a brutal schedule either. NAU's best win was over a 7-5 Southern Utah team. Sac's best win was losing close to us and close at Nevada. Both lost at home to a 4-8 team.

Ugh that's not good.
