Last time UNC came to Davis was October 2021. If i recall, they were beat up and started in basically a single-wing formation. We won 32-3 in a very fast game. We ran the ball 53 times, they ran it 31.....and....mostly ran the ball the entire 4th quarter! That was the beginning of the short Ed McCaffrey era!

it’s a weird place. For-profit Christian school with enrollment of around 100,000 (mostly online). Fined nearly $40M about a year ago by the government for deceptive pricing of advanced degrees. They did bring a bunch of fans to their NCAA basketball tourney games last - I believe the school foot the bill.

That will be by far the toughest environment the basketball team plays in this year (Hawaii a runner-up)

I thought the NCAA had a rule against practice/games on Election Day? They made a big deal of it. Hawk was not a big fan

Never mind - the rule got changed:

In-season athletes may not get Election day off due to a reversal of a 2020 NCAA rule.
Teams are now only required to give athletes a day off within 30 days of Nov. 8.

their current stadium holds around 15000 with plans to expand to something like 17000. I don't see anything about future plans beyond that.

We have to miss also - quick trip to the mountains. I agree with AgAlum - basketball get together is more fun because you get to interact with the players a bit more. The women’s team always has a few players that have big personalities and try to engage with the fans.

I second Toke’s praise. Really appreciate the description of the transfers. I’m a big Burgers and Brew guy for my preGame (unless I’ve ‘earned’ a free pizza guys for a weekday game!), so agree with that assessment.
