Plough said they had no backup at the rush spot at Portland.

I think they have them ready just trying not to burn their redshirt with 6 games left

sounds like the edge rusher position has been hit very hard. We’re gonna need blitzes or some creative line gimmicks to get pressure. Sounds like poly has moved to a more one-dimensional attack with wildcat QB.

Get up early and make them pass

I think they, along with many defensive reserves, are out. Expect a slower paced offense to keep the defense off the field. That can also keep poly in the game

the EBAL in my neighborhood. He was Dublin’s best player last treat (all league, all area team) but is jumping across the city limits line to go to Daugherty. Bring this trio of EBAL/Daugherty players, I can’t remember anyone from this area coming to Davis.

Daugherty Valley is in San Ramon. That was the home to both Robby Beasley and Connor Sevilla. He just transferred from Dublin (just like Robby Beasley)..

I REALLY hope they go. The addition of Hawaii has goofed up the basketball schedule quite a bit.

I always thought this was the correct approach for football. Let the other sports stay in their traditional, somewhat-geographic, conferences. Just admit the big time college football is only supportable by a select few.

The ruling yesterday about allowing schools to pay players (up to $23M) and for past athletes to seek payment really pushes this concept.

I think Sagarin is closer to reality, especially in this case. Always seems like the FCS polls are even more knee-jerk than FBS.

PSU announcers mentioned Zach Kennedy played every down vs Idaho. Hard to get great pass rushes without a rest, especially late in the game.

I'm wondering if any of the 5 MWC schools that bolted are having some regrets about leaving? One advantage of grabbing someone like Sac, the PacX wouldn't have to help with large fees for leaving a conference. Apparently, Memphis would have to play $25M to leave the AAC; the PacX was willing to help to the tune of $2M. There were also some issues with the fact that the current Pac2 wanted a much bigger slice of the college playoff money, making it harder for a school bailing out to cover those costs.

    to quote myself...what a mess.

If we are still #6 come Montana State, I’ll be feeling pretty good about this team. That would mean three solid games in a row - can’t take anyone for granted here!

‘other than that Mrs Lincoln, how’d you like the play?’

Maybe we need Gould as a red zone ‘line up correctly’ consultant

sorry that was a weak joke referring to the Gould era!

that’s not how I read this from the NCAA:

yep. That’s correct. I think the correct call was made on the Hutton catch to the one; the ball wasn’t over when his knee hit. The spot, though, seemed wrong - should have closer to goal line

with the new proposed FBS limit of 105 (90%), that’s 30-40 football scholarships and like wise on women’s side. New limits for softball and track could cover that addition with a new sport (what’s left?), but 60+ new scholarships is a steep increase especially if Mrak continues to charge football out of state tuition costs for non California recruits.

again, not a knock on sac (I’d write the same if it was us, Montana, Idaho, etc)……the PACX taking a transitioning FCS school in time for 2026 competition kind of reduces their credibility of the ‘conference of champions’. The 2026 version is on par with the current MWC, although Gonzaga basketball helps.

I think they still will need one more football school.
