they stay with football if you designate it. Not sure how the seat fees are allocated.

their football payroll is $31M according to their coach.

This is a sad photo. Of course, Cal drew 35000 for Minnesota and Stanford may have gotten 20000 in their stadium vs BC (announced 25000). I think the conference shuffle is really hurting the California schools (of course, winning might help!)
  • Causeway Cup - 2025-2026
neither soccer team seems to be off to great starts. Men are 0-3-3, women are 1-4-3.
  • 2025 Big Sky Football Games Week 3
I had kind of forgotten Lamb went there -> his SUU teams seemed to own us back during his regime. They certainly aren't the 2-22 Bears of his first two years.
  • 2025 Week 5: Southern Utah @ UC Davis
SUU is a bit of a puzzle so far -> too big offensive outings sandwiched around a stinker vs a not-so-great San Diego team. I think our defense is good enough to stop them (their run game isn't what it was last year) and this might the chance for the offense to put on TWO good halves of football.

Mercer, surprisingly, might be the weak one in our preseason lineup. Utah Tech has been solid in their other two games.

Couldn’t have gotten on UCLA’s schedule this year? Dang.

If nothing else, the chancellor will get a bigger space in the building so we can get rid of the terrible ‘chancellor’s club’ tent on the north berm

my $10k is a low ball, hopefully it’s more in the $20k. That would be the equivalent to an increase of 2000-3000 tickets per game for a 6 game schedule. So I think we’d be comparing the cost of suites (and upgraded press and stadium room) with adding some 5000 seats if we thought we could add to our attendance.

Montana, I think, is the leader in the clubhouse in this area which explains their 8 home games and no FBS. They have 47 suites (sold out) that start at $14k. Add on the revenue from sold out season tickets and 24k capacity stadium, and their revenue dwarfs the others.

Imagine we had 20 and sold them for $10k.

it sounded like the revenue that they brought in from the suites made the game day attendance irrelevant in terms of their ability to bid on playoff games (they drew 6000 that day). Got them thinking it was easier to bring in much more game day revenue than by increasing ticket sales by 5000 a game. I think that the mindset moving forward on seat fees for season tickets.
  • Looking forward to 2025
I imagine we’re up there just due to cost of a scholarship

During the alumni zoom, a couple interesting tidbits came out. One that stood out - it was mentioned that the Washington payroll was $30M in NIL. Plough echoed what was said here - the gap between schools like us and the elite is bigger than ever. Apparently, the number of large differential games this last weekend (can’t remember the criteria) was historical.
  • 2025 Week 5: Southern Utah @ UC Davis
I thought the win over USD was an indication that they were much improved this year. That being said......what the heck happened to SUU after they racked up 300 rushing yards the week before against Idaho State?
  • 2025 Week 5: Southern Utah @ UC Davis
Just looked at SUU stats vs ISU. They ran 50 times for 333, and passed for over 200. What happened vs USD?!!
  • 2025 Week 5: Southern Utah @ UC Davis
the loss at USD is a bit of a shock. Ploy beat USD up the first week. Torreros ran for nearly 300 yards but only passed for 94. SUU stats were skewed the other way, throwing got nearly 325 and running got 80 or so. Hopefully a chance to get our run game going and get our heralded TEs in the mix.

I hadn't realized while watching the game that we were resting a good number of starters in the 2nd half (beside Pinnack). Good for the long term health of the team....not so great for the point differential!

absolutely. I would have much preferred playing them last week in their opener when they were getting things figured out and we were a fresh fresher physically and mentally .they got on a roll early and we’re able to utilize all their athletes. That QB was really impressive - accurate, smart, athletic snd always under control. It’ll be interesting to see how they go in the Big10.
