• Week 13 games
That’s shocking. I wasn’t that impressed by MSU. So we win and ISU over Weber and we have a 5-way tie. Weird. I don’t see Weber losing do they’d get the auto bid regardless (I think)
  • CAUSEWAY 2019
This is their biggest game. Win and they win the Big Sky (at least tied) and possibly get a top 4 seed depending on how others do. Lose, and the title is gone and the seed drops toward a dreaded 7 or 8.

The two games we were expected to lose (and by double digits) might have been our most complete games. Our defense is better now and If we limit turnovers (had a few at Fargo) and maybe it’s our day.
  • CAUSEWAY 2019
we started 81 1-4. The last of those two losses were road losses at Humboldt (ending FWC winning streak at something like 35 in a row) and a 30-0 bestdown at Poly. Won the last 5 for a winning record and FWC title. 82 won 12 straight, so 17 in a row

Ken started in 80; we were 7-2-1. 81, we were 6-4.
  • MBB: Aggies (2-3) vs Sac State (2-0) 5:30 pm 11/20 @ the Golden 1 Center
we shot 37% from the floor, 0-5 from 3. if you take away Nuefeld's 8-13 shooting, we're down to 29%. Sac was 44% from the floor (lot of points in the paint), 1-11 from 3.

no review of the Brussel Sprouts? they were good, just not brisket and/or rib good!

I might have been a little harsh on my comments on Mooney. I think he showed last year he had developed more offensive skills than just spot-up shooter. I think Stefan could be a valuable defensive-minded, spot-shooting starter on a more complete team....but.....that's not this team.

we got to the hospitality late last night at Sauced, after the delicious ribs and brisket were scrafed down, and the only thing left were some bruissel sprouts. last night, the Aggies seemed like the bruissel sprouts of the doubleheader. not bad, but not the same caliber as the rest. Nuefeld had a good game offensively, Manjon looks like he's going to be a player, and Stefan and Mooney look like solid role players......beyond that? not much. Sac (and the other two teams) just looked so much more physical and agressive than us. I know its tough to shot in the big arenas, but, most of our outside shots looked like they never had a chance. Sac overplayed us defensively and we didn't have anyone that could create points when they did.

i hope i'm wrong, but it looks like a very long season.

we really need all of our playmakers to rise up to the ocassion (besides Ulonzo, who has been a stud week in and week out).

Sac is coming off a convincing win over Riverside. Riverside has beat Idaho and Nebraska (who also lost to SUU!), so this should be a good test for us. After playing in front of thousands of empty seats in Arkansas, playing at the Golden 1 in front of a modest but lively crowd should give both teams some energy. I was there last year, and we played really poorly in a lose -> a harbinger of the rest of the season. I'm hoping the team defense makes a big leap forward, and we get more scoring from the bench (still waiting on that big shooting game from Gonzalez). I'll be there for the early tip-off. I really like the arena and the surrounding area. Sac did a great job there.

this is probably our biggest FCS challange with the POSSIBLE exception of NDSU. Sac is good on both sides of the ball, and playing confident, smart football. That NAU comeback is the type of thing a team needs to get over the hump and make a run. on the positive side, our defense has played much better of late, outside of giving up timely (bad timing!) big plays. i think we can slow down Dotson, but a healthy Thomson with his receivers might be a bit too much.

can this be the game the offense puts together a complete game? it will have to if we want to win. I saw the odds at Sac -10. looking back, we've been underdogs in two games (NDSU and CAL), along with a pick-em (Weber). the two underdog games may have been our best games, vs the best opponents. is the third time a charm?
  • MBB: Aggies (2-2) vs VMI (0-5) 9 am Sunday 11/17
I think we’re usually quiet in the early preseason when football is still going on. Especially when we start the season far from home. Tomorrow will be a good barometer with Sac coming off a win over Riverside . I’m driving up and looking forward to seeing this group
  • CAUSEWAY 2019
i looked at the game notes some time back, and saw alot of younger guys (non seniors) starting. of course, Thomson is listed as a Junior, which makes no sense to me.
  • Week 12: Montana State @ UC Davis
    look at Dartmouth's stats:

    Passing : 194 yards/game (212 in nation)
    Rushing : 182 yards/games (84 in nation)

vs. Princeton (big showdown), the passing stats were 5-11 for 68 yards. woody hayes would be proud! heck, Gould would be proud
  • MBB: Aggies (2-1) vs Arkansas State (2-1) 5:30 pm Friday 11/15
For what it’s worth we’re 4 point underdogs. Basically even minus the home court advantage
  • MBB: Aggies (1-1) vs Idaho (1-1) 3 pm Thursday 11/14
great analysis. I was impressed that Manjon didn’t panic with the clock running down after the offense broke down. Very mature play. Defensive stop was textbook.
  • Week 12 games of note
IF (big if) we run the table and Montana beats MSU, I think we’d have a good shot. EWU would be in front of us in standings, but same overall record . Our SOS should get us the fourth BSC berth especially if Sac beats Idaho (they will). Again big IFS.

IF (redundant) we got in, we’d probably host a first round game.
  • MBB: Aggies (1-1) vs Idaho (1-1) 3 pm Thursday 11/14
We’ll need a big game from Nuefeld. He struggled last year with fouls but has been fine so far. Had some turnover problems tonight.

VMI is a team we should beat. I think the same with Arkansas State, although they are at home. be nice to finish the weekend 2-1, or 3-0, and get the season off on the right foot. we got buried last year at 1-4 and never seemed to recover.
