SJSU v USC will be interesting. This Spartan group hasn’t played a good team yet (2020) - MWC was really down last season, so I take their unbeaten (not counting Covid effected bowl game) record with a grain of salt. This will show just how good they are.

Scott is very knowledgeable about both teams - clearly does his home work on opponents. Scott Berry is a good color man although tends to talk over the play by play. Our announcers sound much better than most of the other BSC guys I’ve heard

it will be interesting to see if the move to ESPN+ comes with better video production

I have had the memory of that day medically erased from my brain.

I think my experience in 80 is why I don’t get down on our guys for losing that day.

from what I heard from folks who were there, the 2011 game at ASU was like playing on the surface of the sun! Fred Arp said he feared heat stroke.

In 80, we played Sac at Hughes Stadium. 108 degrees at the 1:00 kickoff! And the field was about 2/3 grass, 1/3 hard dirt. Horrible. We snuck by a team we should have beaten by 3 TDs

I think we have to get used to the ideas that our games will require ESPN+ this season. The good old days of Pluto are gone.

Seems like we (and many teams) play an additional tune up after finals and before the conference starts. Gets the rust out and gives the bottom part of the bench playing time they probably won’t get once the rubber hits the road.

Looking at USCB and the Beach, they both play a couple down games

fun atmosphere. Women seem to bring their A game with the biggest crowd. Gross’ record on those DH games rivals the globetrotters. Men seem to win big those days also

Has the women’s BWC schedule come out? I like the Saturday doubleheaders. Early start so I can bring grandkids
