you’re right; schools where it’s easy to get in AND class attendance might be not exactly mandatory will benefit. Guys can come in, play, and don’t worry about future academic eligibility.

He is graduating and has a year left. As a grad student he’d have to qualify academically, not sure what that entails.

Schools like UCLA have fought against the grad transfer because it’s hard for guys to qualify. Not quite the case at many other schools.

Jake Haener, Fresno QB, enters the transfer portal. i would assume he will skip their bowl game. Likely to follow coach to Washington. Same Washington he left to go to Fresno.

they used to be dominate on the OL, and pounded teams into submission. The last few seasons they’ve ranked near the bottom of FCS in rushing. Add in the lack of a high quality QB, and the offense has really struggled

that team was overlooked. That was a really tough schedule - Great West was 6 good teams. Could have easily been 2-0 heading into Stanford.

i think they need to give him at least another year. before 2019, his worst season as 8-5. 2019 was 4-8 and this year is 3-9. that's a bad trend, but 8 solid to very good years buys him a little wiggle room.

I think we are in complete agreement. I was hoping for 5-0 or 4-1 after the first two games. Let’s get back to 4-5 after the homestand and get the train back on the tracks.

We were all pretty depressed after the first UCSD game last year, and we things corrected

I’m not calling for the coach’s head; I’m just puzzled how the group I watched v USU and EWU, turned into the group the past two games. Everybody is obviously pressing. Our two best players, proven scorers, have really struggled to find the hoop. That tends to be infectious. It seems to be effecting us on both ends- they were shooting over 50% most of the game! Having Squire’s grittiness out there would help - I don’t see a similar player (Shaw disappeared again?)

I’d really like to see that early energy we brought v EWU on Wednesday, and get out of the gate early. Get Pepper and Manjon off to good shooting nights and see how that gets the rest going.
