I wonder if they put out an attractive NLI package to entice.

he showed improvement. He has a decent shot but was reluctant to take it

here in Livermore, we used to have 3 leagues but now down to 2. lots of travel options for kids but the overall number of players is down (especially when you take in the fact that the town has grown since my kids played 20 years ago). in my old home town of Antioch there is NO little league in a town of 110,000 people. some of that is due to embezzlement putting the league in financial straits, but there seems to be a general lack of interest. much more diverse population there compared to Livermore, which i think plays a big part.

he's listed as a SR on the UCSD roster, so i'm assuming he'll be going as a grad transfer?

9-11 daily except Sunday and Wednesday. Today they were on the grass behind Toomey. I expect weekdays will be there
  • Baseball wins !
Good for them. Maybe they can build on it

I fear you will be disappointed with your visit to the campus or downtown bookstores. Fan gear isn’t well stocked
  • Best prep program that also accels at academics

here’s how they ranked the Sac-Joaquin area teams basketball wise

Besides Jesuit, I’d guess the suburb schools (Elk Grove, Rockiln) would have decent academics

they start Monday, I believe, but I didn’t see time/location.

I heard a radio interview yesterday with Houston’s Kelvin Sampson, who had 3 transfers on his elite 8 team (one from Bakersfield), two of whom they had recruited heavily out of high school. They were saying there are over 1000 names in the portal. Unless you have a connection, seems like finding a good landing spot is challenging

Do any others get nervous when they see a new post in this thread?

McGill didn't see much of the court the last couple weeks of the season, but that one is a bit of a surprise

if you google 'transfers in sweet 16', there are lots and lots of articles about key players who are transfers. Iowa State has 7 on their roster (i think they had a big exodus after a 2-22 season), Texas Tech has 8. Miami has 3, but one of them (Charlie Moore) is on his 4th school (DePaul, Kansas Cal).

Locally, USF has 7. With their coach leaving, it will be interesting who stays/goes!

Darius is a really good guy. Happy for them

I’m not sure why I was fearing this at the end of the season. 7th place finish, small crowds……just felt that with SO many transfers out there, that this might be tempting to him.
