I'm heading to the game tonight. Hopefully we can defend the home court and start the BW season off on a high note. I'd like to see Sabel, who was named BW player of the week, be a little more consistent through out the game. In the defeat to No. Az last week, she came in blazing and scored 30 (and made it look easy) throughout the first 3 quarters. But then got so cold that she was benched for a large part of the 4th quarter. On a team without a ton of scoring options, we need her to score (or at least be a threat to score) throughout the game.

It will be good when (hopefully soon) we get Bora and Mani back. Both could provide some interior depth, which will be needed as we battle some of the bigger teams in the BW.

We definitely need to play a full 40 mins. We’ve seen too many games this year where we go through some bad stretches. We are not good enough to survive those extended periods.

it is definitely going to be an interesting season. I guess I’d put my money on ucsb but uci and uh are right there.

Thanks for the updates Toke. I'm at work so cant watch but am trying to keep an eye on the score. Looks like we ran out of steam near the end of the half.

Great story Toke. I don't remember the exact ranking, but Kansas was #1 for a large part of 2016-17 season, but may have fallen to 2 or 3 in the AP poll when we faced them in the first round of the NCAA tournament. No other top 5 teams come to mind.

I'm with you 100%. I follow the women's team because they have traditionally put out a good exciting product, and I liked taking my daughter to WBB games to show her positive female athletes. But so far this year, the WBB have had home games start at: Mon 11am, Thur 2 PM, Thur 6 PM, and Mon 5 PM. It makes it difficult to build any non-student loyalty when anyone who works traditional hours can only make 1 of the out-of-conference home game (and that was a body bag game against William Jessup). By contrast, all the MBB home games have started at 6:00 PM. I know the scheduling is probably done independently from one another, but when added to the disparity in coverage, it does start to raise questions.

That was right in front of us and it was an incredibly bad call. If anything the ref should have swallowed the whistle.

Hopefully Milling is just sick and they don’t want him around the team. He’s critical for BW play.

That’s a good sign. We’ll need his size when we play some of the bigger BW teams.

Hopefully Bora and/or Mani are health enough to play. And we haven't seen Sam Manu or DeAndre Henry play much at all recently even though I think they are healthy...might be nice to get them some playing time. I'll probably just stream this one and wait for our next home game (1/5 against UCI). Go Ags!

Ags shot 54% from the line (6-11). Norris and Baker were a combined 3-8. Didn’t make a direct difference in the outcome, but you never know what momentum is gained when you make your free throws.
