I checked out the local Sac sports reports on the 11:00 news last night after the game. Channel 3 (NBC) had the score but nothing else. Channel 10 (ABC) actually had a few video clips. Channel 13 (CBS and sister station to CW31 which will air suc st home games) didn't mention the game at all, but rather had a whole segment about the hornets with interviews with their coach and qb. I understand the station wants to plug their programming, but to not even mention the Aggie score seems a bit negligent.

Bertsch will be pretty unstoppable if she gets the outside game to match (or come close to) her inside and driving game. But it'll be the development of Bessolo and Hall that will really dictate how this season goes.

Not bad. Maybe a few more home OOC games would be nice, but it seems manageable. Looking forward to seeing the new players like Stobbart.

Looks like a good start to the OCC. I kind of like the little rivalry we have going on with WSU, and the more times we get to test ourselves against Stanford, the better.

I'm sure they'll be a little extra motivation (as if you need one for the season opener) for this game as the team played very poorly at USF last year.

Yep, expanding the relationship between UCD and Sports 1140. 1140 will now carry ALL MBB games (I assume unless it conflicts with Kings games), plus 14 one hour coaches shows (11 football and 3 MBB). Les and Blue are currently on 1140 talking about it.

UCSB has a ton of talent. How they mesh will be the interesting variable. A lot of new guys from different systems.

I worry about the size and quickness of the backcourt of CSUF. I think both Ahmad and Allman are 6'3" or taller, and quick, and I'm not sure we had enough on-ball defenders last year to stay with them. How Gonzalez, Jackson and Nelson (plus Shorts/Schneider/Mooney of course) play defensively against them will be important.

That's a pretty solid review. It certainly is nice to see the Ags regularly picked near the top. Looking forward to a year of John at full speed, and how the new guys fit in.

Agreed...with his extensive international experience, he's the one true freshman that I bet will see playing time this year.
