• Prediction time!
I'm assuming for bowl games, or NCAA tournament games, there are alternate forms of funding that will get us where we need to be. Let's hope we have to worry about travel to Frisco.
  • Prediction time!
AB 1887 prohibits state funds used for travel to these 10 states: Alabama,
Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, and Texas. I assume there are ways around it, like using private funding instead of state funding for games in these states, but I'm not sure that makes the most sense for our program.
  • Is it odd that the WBB roster is still not out?
I've been wondering that myself. I seem to recall it was posted relatively late last year, too.
  • 2019-20 WBB
The complete 19-20 schedule has been posted here. @Minnesota seems to be the biggest addition to what we had already posted.

  • MBB 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule Announced
Well there is at least one person in Chicago looking forward to the Loyola-Chicago game. My daughter is now in grad school just down the road at UChicago, so she's excited to have the Aggies in town.
  • 2019-20 WBB
Nice. It looks like BU is stopping off in Davis before the play Cal.
  • MBB 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule Announced
It's rough to build any type of student excitement when 2 of the 4 OOC home games are against lower levels schools no one has heard of, a third is against a mid-west school hardly anyone out here cares about, and the only reasonably interesting home game (LMU) is during break. But this seems to be the norm.
  • MBB 2019-20 Non-Conference Schedule Announced
Well, not much of a home schedule. With all the new guys, it feels like 8-8 would be a pretty good record going into conference play.
  • RedRum Closes today!
Not sure it qualifies as "Iconic" but Woodstock's, which has been around since the early '80s, is still going strong. The downtown Baskin-Robins has been around a long time, as has the Varsity Theater, though it has undergone several renovations throughout the years.
  • 2019-20 WBB
It's going to eventually be an imposing front line.
  • 2019-20 MBB
Yeah, you would think there would be plenty of mid-major teams willing to come on out to CA for a couple of games. I do wonder what the financials are like in this type of tournament.
  • 2019-20 MBB
Interesting place for the ags to travel to. Looks like some winnable games (without doing any digging whatsoever).
  • 2019-20 MBB
NAU game is on Dec 4 at Flagstaff per the N.AZ. website.
  • 2019-20 MBB
Yeah, and so is Shaw, so the enterprise had some of the details wrong.

I would guess that at least 2 players red-shirt, maybe 3. Adebayo seems the most likely. Not sure about the rest. Big guys are sometimes red-shirted not because they don't have the talent but you'd rather have the player at age 23 after his body has fully developed than at 18. I think I also read that Murphy is on the younger side for a freshman so it wouldn't surprise me if he sits and works out a year. Of course, we need size, so who knows.
  • 2019-20 MBB
    Men's roster is updated HERE
  • 2019-20 MBB
That's interesting. We hosted NA last year so I would have thought we owe them a trip to their place.
  • 2019-20 WBB
It wouldn't surprise me if Lily and/or Jones (6-3 from Scottland) sit next year. We'd still have Stobbart, Gibbs (also coming back from injuries if I remember correctly) and Konrad up front. Now that I write that out, maybe we need either Lilly or Jones to play for depth. Then the following year we add in whoever redshirted plus 6-6 Svanholm. Now that is the depth of size that we need to compete outside of the BW.
  • UC Davis to play USC 2021
    We'll definitely be going!
