my son has spent quite a bit of time in Moscow (mostly at the Buffalo Wild Wings). Nice school and nice town. It’d be interesting if UI stays with the flex but WSU goes all online, with them being about 10 miles apart. It sucks but it sounds like your kids are adapting. Really hoping that the college graduations take place in person next spring!

My son is entering his senior year at Washington State (go Cougs). We just found out this week that all of his classes will be online, at least for fall semester. He’ll probably do the classes from home, so that means not seeing his friends again, no more playing ball at the rec, no more cougar football. It sucks. But he rolls with issues pretty well so he’ll be fine. We’re all effected in a lot of ways.

Good topic. For me it’s been cooking. Not 5* by any means but I’m trying to be more creative than what we do in normal times. As every day is sort of a repeat of the previous day, I find myself looking forward to the daily change of the dinner menu.

Athleticism certainly jumps off the page. Can't wait to see him run a high pick with Aaron Murphy (who I'm really looking forward to watching). Go Ags!

Well, it felt like we were missing a piece on the perimeter. Here we go...welcome 6'2" jc transfer Noah Haynesworth.

  • COVID-19
Hospitalization numbers probably depend on where you're talking about and the time frame. What I've seen, there is a rise in hospitalization in Ca, Tx, Fl. As for the death rate going down, that's due to doctors having better treatments and, as you pointed out, younger healthier people getting it. The problem is that those young people will pass it along to their parents/grandparents. Hopefully we don't see a big increase in the death rate in the coming weeks, but it wouldn't be a surprise.

Certainly makes sense in normal years to get out on a trip and start building those relationships. I just thought that this year we might be playing a little closer to home.
  • 2020-21 Men's Basketball Schedule
I'm a little surprised that we are traveling so far for 3 games against meh opponents. I remember about 5 years ago starting off with 3 games at Santa Clara (maybe the cable car classic), against SCU, Norther AZ, and Tenn st (I think). A few Bay Area Aggie fans showed up and the travel cost was light. I'm sure the coach has his reasons, but it seems like staying closer to home is more important this year than most.

We can add in a trip to Tulane for a tournament:

  • Stefan Gonzalez
That's great news. More Aggies in the pros!
  • Nice article on Ezra Manjon
Thanks Gauchofreg. It'll be fun to watch Ezra's development over the next few years.

The official recruiting class of 2020. Good size, good mix of long term projects and guys that will fill in immediately. May 20th is the day that the NCAA votes on whether to grant a one-time transfer sit out waiver for next year (or they could push that decision out until next year), so we still aren't sure whether Anigwe can play this year. Regardless, it should be interesting to see how these guys fit in with the existing players. Go Ags!

The Ags will certainly look different if we Koehler, Hogland, Anigwe as experienced bigs, with Murphy (RS) and McGill learning the ropes (I assume McGill will RS, along with Borra who will need to sit out due to his knee injury). On the other side, I wonder if big time programs (i.e. Cal) come calling on Manjon to see if they can pry him away. Les builds a pretty solid family atmosphere with his players, so hopefully everyone stays put.

I stopped over at the SJst message board to get a feel for Anigwe. Some seemed to like his hustle and thought he might be ready to take a step up. But most thought his offense was stagnant (not much of a jump shot but likes to take 3's) and though he does block some shots, his timing wasn't always the best. He did start all but one game last year, so he clearly was being relied upon, and for the Ags, he just needs to set good screens, play solid defense and rebound. Certainly for the Ags, with him, Hogland, Koehler and Murphy (assuming McGill and Borra sit out a year) we have a lot more depth in the middle than we've had in a while. That will allow Fuller to shift back to a wing position (playing the 3 rather than the 4 he had to man last year). So between Fuller, Pepper, Manjon, Adebayo, and Squire, although it still feels like we are missing that dead eye bomber, I bet Fuller becomes one of the go to threats. Of course, we'll also see a big jump up in production with Pepper and Manjon going into their second season. With both CSUN and UH losing a lot of players this off season, we should be right back up there in the BW next year.

I like the additional height and athleticism , with D 1 experience. Still a little worried about perimeter scoring but excited about the talent coming in
  • MBB 2020 Commits
That’s good to hear. We seem to have addressed, to a point, our size issue, with Hogland coming in, Borra when he is healthy, and Aaron Murphy coming off his red shirt year. But we lost a lot of perimeter offense to graduation so maybe it’ll be someone who can step in and contribute there.

Getting almost 12 mins a game as a true freshman for possibly the best team in the country is all we need to know about her talent. Plus, with all the height coming in, she definitely fills in nicely in the perimeter. Plenty of open looks to be had.

Certainly feels like the program is ready to take that next step up. We've shown we can dominate the Big West, now it's time to consistently be in the top of the mid-major rankings

Looks like a great get for the Ags. I assume she'll sit out next year unless the transfer waiver is approved by the NCAA. Regardless, more talent coming into the program! Go Ags!
