• Other Games, 2025
If anybody is watching the Washington Purdue game, I am frankly not understanding the targeting rule. Purdue defender launched the crown of his helmet and hit the Washington receiver right in the face mask. It was a slightly glancing blow, but either knocked him out or broke his damn neck before he even hit the ground. He was ambulanced off the field. No penalty.

    Weird score..1-8 Nevada beating 3-6 SJSU 48-3
  • Other Games, 2025
Tennessee Tech SOS has been right around 100 (out of 129) all year. This loss helps that rating.
I don't think they drop on an FBS loss, but who knows.

    Coaches Top-10 (notable SOS):

Lehigh #4 (SOS 97) Undefeated records are sexy
TTU #6 (SOS 99) Undefeated records are sexy

    Mercer #8 (SOS 81)
    Rhode Island #9 (SOS 69)

    Davis #10 (SOS 20)
Harvard #11 (SOS 96) Undefeated records are sexy

He went out injured (in the 2nd half I believe).
  • Plough's name coming up as a possibility for Oregon State
Exactly the type of job Plough was talking about not leaving Davis for.

Lets get back to the classic gold helmet / gold pants combo. Same look @ Wa-Griz last season
  • Sac State's bid for the Pac 12 Thread
My money is on a C-USA invite in November.Kadeezy

This November? Like in the next couple weeks? Hopefully not too much money.
  • Sac State's bid for the Pac 12 Thread
Ball State, Bowling Green and directional Michigans wont draw more than Montana, Cal Poly or Davis for them. Best of luck.
  • UC Davis @ Montana State
MSU and Causeway are going to be where Davis is going to miss Rex and Porter the most. Brutal.
  • Injuries
I think the biggest issues have been Rex and Porter being out, and depth on both sides of the ball.
I've noticed the defense has looked tired at times when they get caught in tempo offenses. It looked that way against Idaho.

Typical late-season stuff for every team, but Davis has had to deal with more depth challenges than average.

Plough said they were trying some new things in the Spring/Fall to cut back on injuries. I guess he'll be re-examining that, or it could just be terrible luck.
  • 2025 FCS Playoff Prognostication
This is an important one. It shows how we are getting closer to being included as one of the top-tier FCS programs with Montanas/Dakotas. It also shows how far apart the Dakotas are from everyone else. Football is top priority for those top 4 schools, no doubt.

Vargas out for the season. Terrible.

More fancy endzone stuff. Looks good.
  • UC Davis @ Montana State
That's Takhari Carr, MSU Cornerback. Gave a very confident and respectful interview. Had good things to say about Pinnick and the offense. Very knowledgeable about his position and gameplan against Davis. He's right, Bozeman is very different in November at 8:15pm than Davis.

    Here is the interview

  • WEEK 11: UC Davis @ Idaho
I believe Montana was ranked 7th to Davis' 4th in that game. In reality, that Montana team was probably a top-20 team (always overrated by a few, and they've earned that). Given their strength as a top-20 team and being nearly unbeatable at home, playing at night in the cold (30's is tough for CA guys!) on national TV, that W is right up there for sure.

I think there is an element of keeping the guys fired up going into next week after more guys were injured, and rewarding the guys for bouncing back after last week. Plough hyping this win does that. Its a good move to reestablish momentum.
