8th time this spring UCD has allowed 10+ runs. Second time they've given up 17-plus, but the first time was against a Pac-12 team (Arizona State). Vaughn was extended recently as I recall, but Ags are making another run at finishing near, if not dead last in conference.

I think Trpcic may be a huge piece next season. From what I’ve been able to dig up, she was an assist machine at albany and they raved about her. Not sure why she left a playoff team, but hey, we’ll take her.

Sort of related, but I recall the UCD women's basketball team playing in the NIT a year or two ago and several of the teams they played (Utah or Wyoming, I can't remember exactly) having mostly European players. Most of the team was Norwegian or something.

I don’t think it’s awful, but do agree that I don’t really see the point to the piece. A simple, “college athletics don’t make as much money as y’all thought,” would’ve done the trick.

I REALLY didn’t like one graph toward the end of the article comparing coaches salaries. It had a UCD men’s coaching salary listed as above $200k which is only the case for Hawkins and maybe Les. It was not an accurate average for all UCD men’s coaches.

Saw the other day that one kid transferred to Akron (FBS). I don't think the unit transfer hiccup would be too much of an issue. Especially for underclassmen with decent grades.

honestly, hard to say right now. Ags have had tough preconference schedule in which they overperformed vs. big time programs and underperformed against teams they should’ve beaten. Fullerton will no doubt be at top of Big West. Aggies are unpredictable at this point.

Walton is crazy. He subbed for Jerry Reynolds a couple times on Kings broadcasts over the years and was hard to listen to. I do appreciate how he’s talking up Davis tonight though.

Bertsch listed as 6th in NCAA ppg (23.3) as of this week.
