Baseball Dobbins: My guess is that he figured that he could get 3 points on the board and they could win if they got another touchdown. Idaho did need two scores to win in regulation and the way his team was moving the ball, he gambled on the field goal and that his team could stop us once and score the game winner. Of course, he didn't expect to get the kick blocked and on Magic.

What a great game. Ags give up 487 yards and pull it out. Those last two touchdowns were historic.

What I don't get is why Hawkins does not use Tompkins more. And in this game, earlier.

You guys called it! Magic indeed. I'd hate to see the score if not for all the Vandal penalties.

The secondary has not looked good against the 6'5" Traynor. They've played the run better but let the passing game beat them in the 2nd quarter.

Yes, but Hastings is doing okay given whatever game plan they installed for him. By the way, can anyone tell me why they call it "Health" Stadium?

The age old question: Is Idaho playing especially well or are the Ags playing especially poorly? I suspect the latter because maybe they came into the game a little over-confident after the big win at Weber State.

They can also show the Craeford play to demonstrate pass interference.

They can show that play to demonstrate pass interference.

Beaudry. That was way too easy for the Vandals to do.
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
Unsportsmanlike conduct, which is what I was afraid would happen when I saw all the Aggie players dancing around in a circle.

What's Gomez' record from outside the 30?
  • Week 5: Idaho @ UC Davis
Marsh getting a lot mixed up. He missed the touchdown signal and got the QB identity wrong twice.

Being favored is no guarantee. I need the Aggies to win big today after both the Giants and Golden Bears got upset and Stanford won.

Historical trivia: From 1922 to 1959m Idaho was a member of the Pacific Coast Conference along with Cal, Stanford, UCLA, etc. Idaho won very few games and almost always finished last (exception being a first place finish in 1927 with a 2-0-2 conference record) in football and not much better in other sports. The PCC fell apart amidst all kinds of scandals, but pretty much re-formed as the Pac 8, minus the Vandals.

As scary as Shaheed is, I thought that one of the unsung heros of the game was Daniel Whelan. His hang time is so huge that Shaheed only returned 2 punts for a total of 8 yards and had to fair catch 5 more. The guy averages 12.5 yards per punt return for his career and I wouldn't be surprised to see him returning punts and kickoffs in the NFL, maybe even a few punts by Whelan.

I hate to point this out, but Weber State got hurt badly by some poor calls. Still, a win is a win and no ref helped Tompkins get into the end zone. Very exciting. I'm getting too old for this.

Despite everything, Ags still have a chance to win, but Rodrigues has to find his accuracy.

I agree with agalum. We didn't see the play all the way through.

I like the Weber State broadcasters. They do a pretty good job of being impartial.
