Almost as frustrating to see Cal blow a 14 point lead to USC in the 4th quarter, then lose on a failed 2 point conversion 50-49.

I also thought the broadcast team was terrible, real homers.

ESPN listed Doss as second on the Chargers depth chart yesterday, but he did not catch a pass. I watched part of the game and did not see him on the field.

I was worried that Tompkins was getting over-worked and made vulnerable to injury again. I don't understand why they don't go to Fisher and Chukwodobe. And is Perez still hurt?

Just doing some math on field position and return yardage: Ags average starting position was the 22, WSU's was 42. Across 13 possessions that's a huge difference. Part (but only part) of that difference was return yardage: UCD 20 (!), Wildcats 145. I don't think I've ever seen a poorer display of special teams. Ags lucky to pull that one out. Still can't believe we didn't intercept Munoz at all.

How poor is this? Weber not only just gained a whole lot of momentum, but Munoz probably just got a huge injection of confidence--frankly that he badly needed. On the other hand, the Ages dodged a few bullets too. Still, we should be ahead by 21. As it is UCD: 14, UCD not-so-special teams: 10.

I have never been able to figure out why special teams at any level can't play better. It's simply a matter of discipline, isn't it? Stay in our lanes, avoid penalties, use your head.

Six minutes into the game and UCD has outgained the Wildcats 16-2!

Anyone know who the two broadcasters are? They don't seem to be Weber State guys from how they're calling the game so far.

I thought McDowell played very well. His elusiveness extended a lot of their passing plays and although he only hit on 56% of his throws, he made a lot of them in the clutch without getting picked. A big difference was also in the return game. UM gained 126 yards, UCD netted 14.

Hard to believe he's already 27 which is a long time to be hanging around the NFL for anyone who wasn't drafted. He's gotta be showing them something.

I have to say that we were simply outplayed. The game looks pretty even statistically. Same number of turnovers, total yards about the same. Take away our missed pat and their 85 yard TD run and it's a tie game. The saddest words in the English language are "what if."
