  • SAC ST Coach OUT
No they would have played us. We have everything we need to be a great football school. Great academics, great campus, great small town, I really like the future of our program.

USC's loss IMO. I can't wait till one day we beat them on the field.

Cal and Stanford don't want anything to do with us. We are not on their "level"...that is what they will tell you.

The reason college football as regions of support is due to inclusiveness. If you look at any conference, say, the SEC. Before the SEC was the SEC it was a small regional conference. It depended on local rivalries and communities to identify with a school, look at Miss ST and Miss...are those schools any better than UCD and SACST? If you have been there you know the answer. Same with Kentucky, South Carolina, Vandy...all small schools in small states with a fraction of what Sacramento area has in regards to infrastructure and money. Look at the local high school athletes in the area, none consider the local schools. We need to change that. Folsom QB Lyons is one of the best QB's in the country and he didn't even consider Davis or SAC. If we can fix this reputation we can make the sport better for both schools and we all win.

The marketing team needs to start calling the radio stations in the Bay Area and let the Bay know there is a college playoff game happening this weekend. There are a ton of Aggies in the Bay.

I agree. It's why I think if SACST and Davis worked together, we could create a pocket of elite football in the area. Look at the top recruits in the state, notice most of them are leaving out of the state. Why? I think its in large part because there isn't a ton of options in California - unless you are lucky enough to get into Cal, Stanford, USC, or UCLA. We could fill this gap in opportunity for HS kids. I love natural rivals it makes the sport better overall in my opinion.

No, you called it. I was totally wrong. What can I say, I'm a sucker for the underdog. mia culpa, mia culpa!!

We will see. I hope you are right to be honest. This team has a legit chance to be a program changer. If they can stay together they can build something big. That being said, with the changes in CFB, it would be very surprising if we kept Pinnick, Cofield, etc. Money is mone and at the end of the day, its a business decision. I don't know about you, but if someone offered me $1M to play college football I'd have to at least take a look around.

I wouldn't use SACST first year as a qualifier. SACST is going to be better next year. Talent is talent. But since we are no longer playing them or are even in the same league, no sense needing to care anymore.

When do we hear about portal transfers? Do we get a list of players we are targeting?

Did we pick up any surprises? Did we lose anyone?

He has a lot to learn for sure. To be honest, I don't think he sticks around Davis after this year. No inside info, but I can see him transferring to a bigger program in a couple weeks. I think the QB helm goes to Eason next year.

The kid is Frosh who was quicker with the ball in his decisions. He didn't try to play hero ball. He went through his progressions. He is learning and getting better.

If this team can stick together it could be be the goundwork for a great 2026! Looking forward to seeing the new Aggies!

All I know is I'm bringing the fire pit and master grill. Tail gate is going to be a lot of fun!

Agree. The game against SAC was his best game by far.

The point is simple, does he have the measurables to play at the FBS or NFL level? Yes. That's it. That's the statement. We agree.

    Now move on.

The avg size of the NFL is 6'2. I put Flacco and Rogers on the list specifically to see if you would highlight them instead of Bryce, Russell, and Joe to prove a point that you are focusing on QB's that fit your narrative.

The overall point is Caden's size is not an issue if he wants to play in FBS or the NFL. Not sure what point you are trying to make, because there a NFL QB's that are smaller than Caden who are doing just fine in the NFL.

The avg height in the NFL is 6'2. Here are notable players:

    1. Bryce Young
    2. Russell Wilson
    3. Aaron Rogers
    4. Kyler Murray
    5. Joe Flacco

What I'm saying is size in relation to Caden is not warranted. He is well within the measurables to play FBS or NFL. These are just 5 players off the top of my head who are currently playing in the NFL.

You said Caden was too small for the next level. I was just pointing out there are multiple players his size in both FBS and the NFL. It's not that uncommon.

Sorry, didn't mean for that to come off the way it did. I'm sure you know a ton of recruiting. I'm just pointing out that this isn't the first or last commit that will be flip. It happens.
