I don't think he sticks around either. He is getting big money offers already. Enjoy him while we have him! I predict Eason takes over next year. Just my opinion.

He has not signed yet ;)

When I got back from the game (Seriously, we need too address the bad cell signal at the stadium because its awful), most my buddies I served with around the world were texting me, "hey bro I'm watching your Davis team on ESPN, I didn't know you guys look like Notre Dame"....LOL..

Pretty good FCS podcast from some RI guys.

I'm really curious to see the reaction from recruits watching last nights game. I just rewatched the broadcast this morning and it was first rate! Imagine all the eyeballs that watched UC Davis and thought, "hmm I didn't know Davis was this good?"

Go get Ryder Lyons and shock the world. ;)

Media relations need to go overdrive and start talking to the local radio stations and tv stations to pump up the game for next week. Everyone should be hearing about the game. I'm calling to some radio stations to show interest in the game.

There isn't really much going on next week and people are looking for something to do. We should push it out a family atmosphere, cheap tickets, enjoy playoff college football for everyone!

    Another domino down....

Unemployment is way up. Inflation is up. In my opinion, it's Welcome to 1972 and stagflation. That was a heck of a run from 2012 to 2025. A correction is needed and we are just overdue. Hopefully, it won't last too long.

I have to say, the lack of UC Davis support from the city of Davis is just unacceptable. I was just downtown getting a some lunch with my wife and the place is dead. You would have no idea a national televised game would be happening here in 24 hours....What is the deal? This is a perfect time to be promoting Davis and the community. Very disappointing.

Nah, I don't buy this argument. The crazy money spending is already starting to dry up. As the economy continue to slide into a recession, you are going to see a ton of pull back in spending across college sports. Truth is, people just don't have the money anymore. If we continue to win and be strategic on who gets to play here, I think we will be fine. We are in the most populated state in the union with a ton of players looking to play. It's not like we are New Mexico St or Nevada.....those are awful places.

No they would have played us. We have everything we need to be a great football school. Great academics, great campus, great small town, I really like the future of our program.

USC's loss IMO. I can't wait till one day we beat them on the field.

Cal and Stanford don't want anything to do with us. We are not on their "level"...that is what they will tell you.

The reason college football as regions of support is due to inclusiveness. If you look at any conference, say, the SEC. Before the SEC was the SEC it was a small regional conference. It depended on local rivalries and communities to identify with a school, look at Miss ST and Miss...are those schools any better than UCD and SACST? If you have been there you know the answer. Same with Kentucky, South Carolina, Vandy...all small schools in small states with a fraction of what Sacramento area has in regards to infrastructure and money. Look at the local high school athletes in the area, none consider the local schools. We need to change that. Folsom QB Lyons is one of the best QB's in the country and he didn't even consider Davis or SAC. If we can fix this reputation we can make the sport better for both schools and we all win.

The marketing team needs to start calling the radio stations in the Bay Area and let the Bay know there is a college playoff game happening this weekend. There are a ton of Aggies in the Bay.

I agree. It's why I think if SACST and Davis worked together, we could create a pocket of elite football in the area. Look at the top recruits in the state, notice most of them are leaving out of the state. Why? I think its in large part because there isn't a ton of options in California - unless you are lucky enough to get into Cal, Stanford, USC, or UCLA. We could fill this gap in opportunity for HS kids. I love natural rivals it makes the sport better overall in my opinion.

No, you called it. I was totally wrong. What can I say, I'm a sucker for the underdog. mia culpa, mia culpa!!

We will see. I hope you are right to be honest. This team has a legit chance to be a program changer. If they can stay together they can build something big. That being said, with the changes in CFB, it would be very surprising if we kept Pinnick, Cofield, etc. Money is mone and at the end of the day, its a business decision. I don't know about you, but if someone offered me $1M to play college football I'd have to at least take a look around.

I wouldn't use SACST first year as a qualifier. SACST is going to be better next year. Talent is talent. But since we are no longer playing them or are even in the same league, no sense needing to care anymore.

When do we hear about portal transfers? Do we get a list of players we are targeting?

Did we pick up any surprises? Did we lose anyone?
