….but the Ags should be clearly ranked in top 10 after week 1. Those pre-season polls are a joke. They just throw in Montana schools automatically in top 20 and they didn’t even play in spring. Good to move up early in season. Much harder to work way up in polls then “work” your way down the latter being much harder for those “name” teams with a reputation that may not be deserved in the current year. They seem to need multiple losses to drop much. In the big sky, if you are not a Montana school, Weber or EWU, voters will drop you like a rock with a loss or two

EWU game was very entertaining. A good win for EWU, but it was UNLV who went winless last year. EWU let UNLV back into the game after leading by 14 at end of third quarter. Also could have iced game with a short field goal at end of regulation but kicker missed it (along with 2 other attempts). Goes to show you how important special teams are vis. Gomez 4 field goals and good punting yesterday.

Northern Arizona couldn’t run the ball at all. First string QB went down early but don’t think it would have made much difference.

Hard to imagine Sam Houston (institute of technology) would fall from no. 1 after their beat down of Northern Arizona. I will say that preseason polls come directly from the Institute of Little to No Research.

man, I’m glad they play football better than they sing. Compressed a fight song ranging about 1.5 octaves to about a third. But at least they are singing the fight song and no one can take that away despite what they did to the Aggie Band- uh.

maybe but only 190 yards in that game against the ags - they were not good. Defense won both that game and tonight despite giving up 450 yards.
