  • Week 2: UC Davis @ University of San Diego
I like the put the foot on the gas and let others play, but I wonder I’d dale lennon will not be pleased with the continuous 2 pt attempts.

I listened to 3/4 of UND/USU. delayed due to lightning. Was something lime 27-24 USU at start of 3 quarters. USU 3 tds in 4th while I was sawing logs. USU beat Washington State in the Palouse last week. It sounded like USU had more speed and big play potential (had a bunch of yards).
  • Opening Day 2021 - @ Tulsa
7-7 Tulsa - Oklahoma state at half. Only 89 and 135 yards of offense respectively.
  • FCS Scores - Week 1
Montana had only 220 yards total offense. Montana won it on turnovers and defense.
  • Week 3: Dixie State at UC Davis
unfortunately a “strong engineering program” nowadays means as much computer modeling these days as anything mechanical with little knowledge of how to turn a wrench. The clubs are the best bet. Many universities have student tractor pull teams, but they are tied up in very strict competition rules and would have little time for a side project. Best best would be to resurrect the antique club by throwing out some carrot and a cool project like the one-lung tractor.

Interesting that the PAC-12 network is not showing replays of Washington-Montana. The menu lists it (and they have several instances of replays in their (football in 60 min.) but it always comes up as a replay of Washington and Utah from a previous year. Normally replays of PAC-12 losses are honored (at least during the current year) but I am wondering if it got scrubbed from airing due to the embarrassment to the conference. Maybe it should be rebranded as PAC-12 China.

my grandfather worked in the Kaiser Richmond shipyards on liberty ships. He falsified an application and said he was an electrician - although he was a dairy farmer and built his own house so knew a thing or two. . He said he prayed that the ship would sink when they took one out for a test drive …had an inner ear condition.

I don’t think he is necessarily throwing deeper, but he is showing that he can adequately sling a long ball with accuracy. At his size it looks to me he’s doing it with arm velocity and decent mechanics. He throws a nice tight spiral. He was great about throwing to the open receiver against Tulsa - and that’s probably the most important thing.
  • Biggest Aggie upsets
….and I am sure you know the Pacific quarterback who both played for and coached the Raiders (and has a couple of super bowl rings).
  • FCS Polls Week 1
that site is populated by a ton of San Houston fans and others Midwest to east coast. Not much of a west coast presence (surprise surprise) so would carry somewhat of a geographical bias.

I watched the usd poly game and it looked to me like usd is down a notch. After watching the Tulsa game, the Torreros looked small and slow (as one might expect). They did at times torch the poly defensive backfield. And their kicker almost made a 62 yard field goal! It had the distance but hit the right upright.

I too also think that it could be a big day for Gilliam and Larison, but also note that you have to take every opponent seriously or you can get yourself in trouble no matter who you are playing. Take care of the ball and they should be fine. Harrell had a big day at tulsa - best I have seen him. Good job stretching the field as well as getting open on underneath routes.

  • FCS Polls Week 1
SDSU has a very good defense and deserves no. 1. It is clear to me to advance up the polls and advance in potential playoffs that a string defense is a must. This has held EWU back. They got worn down and blown out at NDSU last year and I’m watching their game against UNLV their defense will be problematic again. If Northern Iowa had an offense they would have won last week. They are always a contender due to their stout defense and good coaching. I think the Ags have shored up their defense (spring and fall) with more bulk in the middle and more depth. In my mind, this is the key as a good defense will most always keep you in the game. That and special teams (witness Tulsa) can be difference makers - without those two aspects, you are in big trouble against the better teams.
  • FCS Polls Week 1
no way Weber should be ranked higher than the Ags. Yes they lost to Utah, but I watched the game and they got shut down most game except for 100 yard k.o. return. They had a first and goal from the one and couldn’t score on 4 downs.

    Anyway we’ll see.
  • FCS Scores - Week 1

And East Tennessee State beat Vanderbilt 23-3.

. I also would say SD State over CSU was not an upset other than a pro forma FBS over FCS Vegas line.
  • FCS Scores - Week 1
yah, I was wondering where he was. They could have used him.
  • FCS Scores - Week 1
East Tennessee State beating Vandy of SEC 23-3 with 3:00 left.

Missouri State loses to Oklahoma State by just 7.

And UNI hangs with Iowa State

    Quite a week for FCS.
  • FCS Scores - Week 1
Montana holds. They will win. Montana looked stout but Washington looked pretty lame. They will get torched against the better pac -10 teams if they don’t figure things out. Looks like pretty good week for big sky.
  • FCS Scores - Week 1
13-7 Montana with 3 minutes to go. Washington will get kickoff after a Montana field goal.
  • FCS Scores - Week 1
pac10 network. I get it with sling sports package.

Montana up 10-7 and about to score.
