  • Week 9: Big Sky Schedule and Scores
and Idaho has only 1 more top echelon team to play while Montana has 2. Montana could well drop games against Weber and Montana State. Their name recognition and having their AD on the selection committee could get them in with 4 league losses (and probably would although I would question it with their weak first half of season schedule. Will be interesting to see how Idaho fares against Sac.

    Weber State commits FOUR safeties!
Amazing. I felt sorry for the guy but I think Hill should have gone to someone else after 2 of those. I was thinking maybe the turf had a much lower coefficient of friction or something but I think long snappers actually lift the ball a bit before snapping it. And all were to the punters left, not just high. I would have thought after the first one the snapper would be practicing on the sideline - maybe he was.

Both Hill and Hauck are going to need some counseling this week.

I will say though, did Montana lay a foundational plan on how to beat Slac?
They sure did. It seems Montana was better prepared than Sac for the game. They wanted to take the air out of the ball. They knew they couldn’t get in a fast pace shootout with Sac. Plus they had Johnson running the ball if things opened up - that was a big mistake on the Idaho game when he chose to pass instead of run in similar situations. On top of that very sloppy play by Sac (penalties and turnovers). Special teams was Montana’s undoing with missed and blocked field goals and Sac’s onside kick. Who would have thought that with 4 turnovers Sac would win? Yes the Sac catch sure looked OB - only thing that saved it was call on field. Montana is in trouble with Brown at QB.

I thought it was BOS - I kept thinking “what does Brian Bosworth have to do with Cal Poly?” Not quite as impressive as something like 406 that covers the whole state (Montana).
  • Week 8: Aggies (2-4) at Northern Colorado (2-5)
Have to say Hastings had another nice game. He does a good job of not getting flustered and keeping his eyes downfield. Gale has got some wheels. Looks like he could be a wide out - but effective at tight end. Likely not the blocker like Castles and Thorpe. Lot of players making contributions. Rex Conners another very good game. Good to see Buchanan back. Tompkins was back but I’m my limited watching and attempts for him - he doesn’t look quite as confident with his quick cuts. He was amazing at that last year - I wonder if his ankle is not quite 100%. Good to see him on the field though.
  • Week 8: Aggies (2-4) at Northern Colorado (2-5)
That is where Trent Tompkins would come in handy. Maybe Larison a good option for a couple tough yards. They know Hastings isn’t going to run it.
  • Week 8: Aggies (2-4) at Northern Colorado (2-5)
Loose zone defense so east short passes. Going to man to man closer to red zone.
  • Week 8: Aggies (2-4) at Northern Colorado (2-5)
record holder for clipboard toss. Lot of hair gel too.
  • Week 8: Aggies (2-4) at Northern Colorado (2-5)
gusty winds in previous times would be worrying due to pass heavy offense - but Aggie running game is solid. Nothing to stop the winds on the Great Plains.
  • Week 8: Big Sky Schedule and Scores
Can’t wait for Sac State to beat Montana so I can watch another press conference with Bobbie Hauck. His last one was quite telling of his lack of class. He either insinuated or directly told the reporters their questions were stupid. It sure doesn’t make the university look good - but in reality he’s just debasing himself. If I were the athletic director I would have a talk with that guy.
  • Week 7 Big Sky Schedule and Scores
Idaho 1.2 yards per rush Montana 1.9 yards per rush.
Montana Presser. Bobbie Hauck at his usual amicable self. Man, how would you like being a reporter asking him a question after a loss?

  • Week 7 Big Sky Schedule and Scores
Sac is going to paste Montana next week. I predict they win by at least 14 - likely more. Montana only had 220 yards total offense against Idaho.
  • Week 7: Northern Arizona (2-4) @ UC Davis (1-4)
have to say Hastings is having a fine night.
  • Week 7: Northern Arizona (2-4) @ UC Davis (1-4)
he is on the khtk feed. 1280 am sac.
  • Week 7: Northern Arizona (2-4) @ UC Davis (1-4)
had the pleasure of visiting with his (Rex and Porter’s) parents in Bozeman.

    …and C J Hutton’s mom.

Rare time that King got beat.
  • Week 7: Northern Arizona (2-4) @ UC Davis (1-4)
And no, Scott, I don't expect UG to be our #1 receiver.

I decided to tune into Greg Wong on radio. Wong and the tv color guy would be the A team. Marsh seems to be clueless at times and not really that football knowledgeable. Maybe tries too many endeavors.

Tompkins and Thorpe in street clothes.
