I think we Ag fans are rooting for an ugly Nova win as it would mean another home game IF (and a big one) the Aggies win today. Normally I root for you guys in your games.

Did anyone else notice the ESPN announcer was the guy that does the Poly games? Watched it when I got back from CA. Much better camera work than the normal ESPN+ feed.

The 'mesh' offense they run is unique at most levels of football.

Reminds me of Wake Forest. Looks weird but I guess offense is looking to get defense to commit one way or another. Seems like some sort of defensive penetration would mess it up - I’m sure DCs have tried different approaches.

Great game and good atmosphere. Turned out I had a seat behind Mitch Dixon’s parents. Students were loud. Had to educate the cow dressed students that they were Holsteins. Loved the smell of alfalfa and cow barns near tailgate - sticking to the ag roots. Serendipitous moment when walking back to my motel I helped a stranger get directions and it turned out to be the Rhode Island University president. He was in the UC Davis faculty earlier in his carrier. Nice low-key guy. Turns out we were in the same motel.

Defense really stiffened in the second half. Pinnick is so talented and elusive - really turned to his legs when needed and threw some nice balls.
