  • Hero Sports: Keelan Doss Proud to Represent UC Davis In Draft
Keelan Doss ran hand timed today at his Pro Day...times reported were 4.38 to 4.50. Very fast for Doss, checks a box a lot of receivers his size don't always get checked.
  • Hero Sports: Keelan Doss Proud to Represent UC Davis In Draft
The Draft is officially kicking off in Nashville 25 days from now. Plenty of Giants, A's and Dodgers games to keep everybody occupied until then. Private Workouts are big for prospects like Keelan, he'll have a few in the coming weeks.

The Detroit Lions were the only team to formally interview Doss at the Combine in Indianapolis.

Pro Football Network did a huge Draft write up on Doss:

  • Looking Forward to 2019
Noticing that the roster also links to their LinkedIn profiles. Already creating networks through their career page outside of football as students and soon-to-be professionals, very cool.
  • 2019 UC Davis Pro Day
I'm not seeing anything at the moment. In light of his pec tweak at the Combine, they may have moved the date back for Doss' sake to allow for a little more healing.

I was updating my address/billing info and got completed redirected out of my Shopping Cart, had to go back to the item to re-establish the buy train. More computer wizardry from UCD...online ticketing/seat selection also a MAJOR issue.

Don't these folks do a fully integrated beta test?

I imagine there are plenty of hats, but there should be at least 3 versions of shirts, long sleeve shirts, hoodies, jackets, and all kinds of accessories. I want a Comet CA bottle opener right now.

Still want to see some Lemon CA gear, not seeing any of that...would love to fly a large blue logo, white banner Lemon CA flag next season!

You can't tell me this wouldn't throw Lehigh for a loop...or maybe it'd be right up their alley, not sure:

  • Bruce Edwards Says Ags Will Go FBS in 5-10 Years

Sac vibe is tribal, little pockets around the area follow their high schools, colleges, and then pro teams like the Kings (and eventually the Republic) will take fans. Also draw from the Bay Area, Stanfurd/Kal alumni.

Davis' strong suit is the older alumni who remember the long streaks of winning, the decades of DII dominance, they have Aggie Football ingrained in their soul, but like all alumni, we move on and live our lives, raise our kids, pursue our careers. 2007-2015 was a dark, dark time for the program. The transition was not easy, that's basically a decade of football where the new stadium was great, but the level of football, program excellence, outcome just hadn't caught up. There were exciting moments, but if you don't have consistent winning tendencies, enough people won't be present to see them all.

When you win, like last season, people come to the games, you host a NCAA Playoff game, the vibe totally changes (and we were a late defensive meltdown away from hosting a semi-final game last season). Nothing brings in more energy and money than winning...and nothing brings in winning like a program and athletic department willing to do what it takes to get there. Hiring Hawk changed everything, the program is back, and the momentum has to be maintained to keep this thing going to that pinnacle we all want in Frisco, Texas.

With all this rain I likely won't have cause to be on campus this Friday. Drat!
  • Bruce Edwards Says Ags Will Go FBS in 5-10 Years
The only thing that will increase crowd size at Davis is winning. Just keep winning, and the "good" days of 8500 showing up will turn into steady 10,000's, 11,000's...

...and when we're packed to brim consistently for about 5-10 years, and depending on how the Rocky Mountain / Pacific FBS schools shake out conference-wise, we may find a football fit at that level.

For now however, I think we're an exciting brand of football at the FCS level...and it does help to not have to compete directly with Stanfurd/Kal for the types of kids we recruit academically and athletically.
