FYI, we're through the front door, good for 9 more months, $150.00 more for the full year, thanks everybody.
  • Playoffs
Every 3rd year or so, there seems to be a huge QB competition throughout the off-season. This should be one of the big offseason battles to watch in the Big Sky. All these players are Plough/Hawk recruited. So who's going to win the spot?

Well, Baldwin certainly can dial up some O...Wasn't the 2010 run when Taiwan Jones was just playing out of his mind and running past everybody? If you get on YouTube, TJ's highlights were ridiculous.

    Doss is playing.

Doss logged 44% of all offensive snaps last Sunday vs. Tennessee

  • Petersen steps down at UW

Coming from the perspective of UW, that's a bum contract to have to hold on to. That's 4 seasons, where coach essentially just bailed out. However, depending on the terms of the contract, I imagine Coach Pete had clauses written in giving him control on when he could leave. If I were the University I'd second guess the contract language and look for rewrites. Don't know the nature of the UW/Pete relationship, not sure what terms were set...judging by Coach's decision, I'd say he's covered, either way, he has been paid plenty, even with Seattle taxes, I'm sure he's doing just fine.

Burnout happens to those who take their jobs seriously.

Don't know the status of Renfrow, but the Raiders are 6-6 and fighting for a wild card spot. Their last two outings have been absolutely horrid offensively, that basically starts and ends with #4. Carr is 35/57 for 349 combined yards in his last two starts @ NY Jets and @ KC Chiefs with 1 garbage time touchdown and 3 INTs, including 2 picks returned for touchdowns, 1 in each game.

Kee will continue to get playing time if Renfrow can not return to the field.

Remaining Raiders schedule which is relatively favorable:
vs. Tennessee (7-5, 2nd Place in AFC South right behind Houston, Wild Card Hunt)
vs. Jacksonville (4-8, 4th Place in AFC South, 4 game losing streak, not looking good)
@ LA Chargers (4-8, Tied 4th Place in AFC West, Raiders have beat them once already)
@ Denver Broncos (4-8, Tied 4th Place in AFC West, Raiders have beat them once already)

The Raiders paid Tyrell Williams a ton of money and Derek Carr never throws him the ball

    A healthy decision

How did Wes Preece get second team? Maybe I am in the minority, but I thought his game largely disappeared the last month of the season.
@ Sac - Zero catches, in fact two drops
vs Montana State - Three catches for 30 yds, no TDs
vs. Weber State - Two catches for 18 yds, no TDs
vs. Montana - 4 catches for 47 yds, no TDs

Best Game vs. a pseudo Big Sky opponent @ North Dakota where Preece caught 5 balls for 68 yds and 3 TDs...and of course, had that huge TD catch in Fargo (what a highlight to leave Davis with!) I know you have to block as well, but with #87 looking to be all-world down the field too, you'd want better performances in the bigger games...especially at home. Was this a playcalling thing? Did #15 stop throwing him the ball on a regular basis?

Back to Back freshmen of the year, we have played a lot of youth, now have to mold another contender in 2020. Congrats to King, the guy can really play.
