Not to mention: The Tractor! I guess our entire College of Engineering could not figure out how to get this thing powered up again. So sad to see it go the way of the denim jumpers and milk cans. Progress? Not sure.
My guess is that nobody asked the motor pool or the student mechanical body to go look at it. I knew at least 3 dozen individuals working on FutureCar etc. who'd have that tractor humming in a month.
Another note I found interesting is the commentary from Idaho was that their "lines" need the most work...this is the University that spawned Tom Cable, one of the best OL coaches in the NFL...which breaks my heart to think that at least one or two Vandal offensive lineman aren't getting drafted every other year.
I will add that NAU went to Tucson and beat Arizona this season. Is that a fluke? Are the Wildcats, on their current losing streak, really that bad? Don't know, but NAU has always attracted talent and have given Davis some losses and some tough games too. Sac is no slouch, and of course EWU will be looking to drop 80 on us as always.
The South Dakota State facility is actually very good. If you look at the state of their field, fieldhouse and cumulative football facilities in the mid-2000's compared to now... it's night and day.
I think the parity in that 6-12 position right now on the National stage is very exciting. A lot of good football yet to be played this season. The Aggies have passed the early tests, exceeding expectations by shocking Tulsa, wrangling a road win vs. a stout Weber defense... now they have to keep taking care of business if they want to get into that elite, "contender" echelon.
Man, South Dakota State looks pretty damn good...
Sam Houston topped UCA on the road today, never an easy feat.
Charleston Southern gave East Carolina a scare today.
Western Illinois wins in Youngstown.
Penn State 38 - Villanova 17
...and Eastern Washington continues to show that they score lots of points.
