  • Week 11: Eastern Washington @ Davis
Watching Montana State beat EWU in the film, clearly, the Bobcats played the old Cal Poly style of offense, a ton of clock grinding running yards, with some nice 10 to 15 yard pops, and then the occasional shot down field for 40. Very methodical for MSU...they also look very athletic and fundamental on defense...getting a few sacks on EB3 indicates some solid coverage.

I honestly think it should go solely by ranking, like March Madness. #1 through #8 get the auto-bye, then your #9 team plays #24 or whatever auto-bid puff conference champion has to offer. The point of the playoffs is mixing it up, airfare be damned, I want to see a team like Montana play Kennesaw State, I want to see EWU take on a UT-Martin, mix the damn thing up.

One of the best games I ever saw was the Aggies hosting Northern Iowa, by wins and losses, you'd think Davis would've dominated, but UNI played a hard fought game and the quality of their conference showed as they had a pretty good game plan.

Going to be hot time in Davis Saturday night. We're it...with the South Dakota Showdown sneaking behind.

No idea where the bracketologist is getting Bryant (5-4) on that list. They're currently 5th in the Northeast Conference, a Conference that Sacred Heart is on top of with a 6-3 Overall record...I guess Bryant has the tiebreaker, beating Sacred Heart early in the season. Man, that Northeast Conference looks like a duffer auto-bid, what a crock. Sacred Heart got smoked by Dartmouth.

Davidson...ugh. Where the heck is South Dakota?

Do Jackson State, Mercer or Prairie View get any kind of consideration for auto-bid? All currently tops in the Southland and Southwest Athletic Conference...

NAU is not EWU, and let's be frank, Eastern has thoroughly beaten Davis for over a decade. It's promising that Davis has been competitive with the Eagles in recent years, so they're going to have to play inspired football to get over the hump. It's unfortunate EWU is coming in off a disappointing loss to a highly ranked team. Expecting a serious amount of focus from them coming in.

As a fictional coach once said, "...because it's not what you do, g'dammit, it's how you do it!"

Feels like false hopes to me.

Honestly, this would mean Davis wins one or both of the next two games. I could easily see them 8-3
  • Week 11: Eastern Washington @ Davis

Gilliam needs to have a monster game.

If I were EWU, the plan would be to stop Gilliam and make Hastings beat me, thirsty for turnover opportunities.
  • Week 11: Eastern Washington @ Davis
Alright, so Dad and I will be there for the Miracle Game reunion. Looking forward to this one, can the Aggies rally around the crowd and get their first ever win vs. Eastern? Now would be a good time to turn the page.

  • Week 10: UC Davis @ Northern Arizona

The defense has had opportunities to score I know they dropped a pick 6 vs. Cal Poly.

I don't feel sorry for those damn Aggie beating sons-a-guns. Have fun in Mormontown.
  • Week 10: UC Davis @ Northern Arizona

The next 3 games are against the three top offenses in the Big Sky in both yards and scoring in Big Sky games.

I don't say this often...maybe 2005? But I have more faith in our defense at the moment than our offense. If we force 2 or 3 turnovers that may prove to be huge for the O.
  • Week 10: UC Davis @ Northern Arizona
Nixon and Granfors have both been missed, but the Aggies need better play from the QB to get two wins these last three games.

Ruggs will do some time. Where's his supporting network? Who makes this kind of decision? Tragic, and stupid.
