I can't find anything substantial on this guy. Any thoughts?

Strom never had a chance to play at UC Davis, but felt a move home was in his best interest. He talked about a possible transfer with family over Christmas break, then got his release on Thursday.

“After my freshman year here, I just wanted to get back around family and friends,” he said from California. “I wanted to get back in that environment again and play for something meaningful around my support system.”

Strom, who won a Class A championship as a senior at Norfolk, said he considered UNO “pretty heavily” before committing to UC Davis. He spent his freshman season there getting physically ready for the demands of Division I basketball. He’ll have another year to do so in Omaha.

“Adapting to basketball at the college level is a totally different animal,” he said. “Every day, competing at the Division I level is tough. Coming into it, what you expect isn’t really how it goes. You just kind of roll with the punches and learn what’s best for yourself. And I think that coming home and going to Omaha is what was best for me at this time. There was an immediate connection right off the bat.”

I recall trying to read up on Neufeld. He reminds me of a typical mid-major center. In other words, he's a tall guy who lacks quickness. Hopefully Les sees some intangibles that most people have missed.

Do you have an idea of our big man depth chart and what Logan Strom was projected to be in that depth chart?
  • Caleb Fuller

I do recall Kevin Blue saying in an interview that he wants to recruit internationally. I think it's because he perceives UC Davis as an international university. Therefore, recruiting internationally is likely part of our budget, and I'm not surprised by recruiting there.

You can find the midpoint from this website:
    http://www.geomidpoint.com/

If you add all eight schools without Hawaii, then the midpoint is south of Frazier Park, CA.
This is west of Gorman off of I-5.

The center of minimum distance is in 2650 Benedict St Los Angeles, CA 90039, USA.

If you add San Diego and Bakersfield, then the midpoint is in the Los Padres National Forest west of I-5.

The center of minimum distance is 2610 Onyx Dr Los Angeles, CA 90032, USA.

Edit: Playing "weight by time" by how long you lived in each place is kinda fun. :)

$1000? Is that the going rate for newspaper subscriptions?

Indiana's fan forum seems quite active, but nothing about UC Davis yet.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
Okay guys. What should we know about Indiana?
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament

    Yes.

I see it in the Live Now category.

    Thanks!

I gave up on refreshing. I got audio on the KDVS website.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
I had video until I refreshed my link. I guess I should not have refreshed.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament

I wonder if that's why we didn't host Washington State in Round 3 last year.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament

The third round can apparently be any date between March 21 to March 23. Surely the robotics competition isn't everyday in that time frame. Is it?
  • Utah State MBB HC Vacancy

Yeah. I read that too. The problem is that I would have said that whether I'm willing to stay at Davis or not. In other words, that's probably the only appropriate statement here.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament

I was watching Sports Center or a similar show, and the commentator was saying UCONN had a chip on their shoulder for losing in the semifinals last year. She said UCONN was apparently taking out their disappointment in their opening game.

I don't necessarily agree with this. I'm just reporting it.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
UCD is making some nice cuts. Beautiful.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
I'm looking ahead. If UC Davis wins, then they'll play either Kansas State with an RPI of 89 or Utah with an RPI of 115 before today's game.

The committee will likely choose a power conference team as the next home game although UCD holds the better RPI at 73.

Yeah. I'm already projecting my bitterness. I'd like to be wrong, but you all know I'll be right.

Let's hope Utah wins so that should improve UCD's chances of getting a home game.
  • WBB: 2018 WNIT Tournament
UC Davis has a slightly higher RPI over Wyoming before today's games at 72 vs. 76. Of course, I'd rather have the next game at home.
