  • UC Davis Ranked #6 in STATS FCS Poll

This is my cynical view of AnyGivenSaturday:

Saturday: Posts on game score updates
Sunday: Posts expressing shock on various top 25 upsets
Monday: Negative reactions to various FCS polls
Tuesday to Friday: Posts on why your poll sucks and why my team should be ranked higher

Rinse and repeat for about twelve weeks.
  • UC Davis Ranked #6 in STATS FCS Poll
Since I'm killing time until the bay area traffic dies down, I'm currently interested in how Massey ranks all of our opponents in our schedule.

    https://www.masseyratings.com/cf2018/ncaa-d1/ratings

    Stanford #24
    UC Davis #98
    Eastern Washington #105
    Idaho State #130
    Montana #147
    Idaho #152
    San Jose State #154
    Northern Arizona #172
    Cal Poly #187
    San Diego #189
    Sacramento State #199
    Northern Colorado #206

If i were to believe these ratings, of which I sort of do, Montana is really equivalent to the talent of Idaho and San Jose State. However, since they're good at home, it will be as competitive as our Idaho State game.

Looking at the rest of the season, we are probably a slight underdog at Eastern Washington if their team is healthy. If their quarterback and other key players are still out, then i definitely like our chances.

We should obviously be favorites against Northern Arizona and especially against Sacramento State.

Damn traffic! I'll just surf the web at Starbucks until traffic dies down.

Someone please post something to read! :)
  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
I'm too lazy to confirm Montana/Montana State's historical schedules, but my impression is that they generally have six home games and they stay away from FBS schools.

If true, then that's one thing I'm jealous about the Montanas or similar schools. That's because that's just a big advantage for playoff implications. You don't get an automatic loss for playing an FBS, and you get an extra game at home.

That's like getting a bonus 1.5 wins every year over a typical FCS school.

    Any thoughts?
  • Aggies football games featured in Santa Rosa
Hmmm. Santa Rosa is almost two hours from my home. That's a tad too far for me.

I wish there was a cool regular spot in the San Francisco/peninsula/south bay/east bay area for Aggie fans to watch Aggie sports games. Are there any? Or are there potential spots? It just seems reasonable that there should be one eventually.
  • Week 8: Aggies @ Cal Poly
How quickly can i watch a replay of this game? Will the replay be on BigSky TV or Pluto?
  • Aggie Stadium

Wow! That article was posted in 2004!
So how are steel costs these days?
  • Aggie Stadium

We're talking about the same concept design. I think the one I saw was more of a cartoon picture - perhaps a view more from the top. However,it should be the same concept design as your picture.
  • Week 7: Homecoming vs. Idaho State
Since the Aggie Stadium reached capacity crowd, did that mean some people were denied entry due to a presumed sellout?
  • Aggie Stadium

They had a picture of the 30k stadium for phase 3 when the stadium was initially getting built. It looked relatively massive. The administration sounds like they're putting an effort not to talk about that for the past seven years or so - perhaps due to lack of funding interest.
  • Aggie Stadium
Weren't there pictures of phase 2 and phase 3 designs around a decade ago? Those pictures disappeared a long time ago
  • Aggie Stadium
My only request for any stadium upgrades is more shade or at least move the games to 7pm.
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ Northern Colorado

Wow! We actually rushed with no time outs? Nice risky play!
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ Northern Colorado
That's the second TD I missed, because PlutoTV decided to freeze. How did we make a TD this time?
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ Northern Colorado
I missed the second touchdown. How did that play go?
  • Week 6: UC Davis @ Northern Colorado
    My Pluto feed is erratic.
  • Week 4: Idaho @ UC Davis
Woah! That fumble recovery in the end zone for a touchdown was a scary play.
  • Week 4: Idaho @ UC Davis

I doubt the President is named VandalBasher who has posted 2321 times.
  • Week 4: Idaho @ UC Davis

You forgot the 23.8 win margin with a 97% win probability from the below simulation. :)
