You can't only look at rate numbers, you have to look at the totals to which they apply.

Example using round numbers:
100 unvaccinated people catch COVID and 8 of them die: 8% death rate.
20 vaccinated people catch COVID and 5 of them die: 25% death rate.

Would you rather have fewer infections and fewer deaths, or a lower death rate?

1) St Mary's has UCD on their schedule on November 13 in Davis.
2) vs Suc State at Golden 1 on November 23
3) Stanford has UCD at Stanford on December 15.

Yes--WBB have played Gonzaga three times. A home/home in 07/08 and a match-up in the Women's NIT in 08. The 08 team played against Courtney Vandersloot!

My read is that most pollsters are reluctant to jump teams a TON after one game. Given that UCD started in the 20s pre-season (I think?), a jump to 12 seems ok. There was some grumpiness about Montana's ranking, as well.

Caveat: there was a dude in the Big Sky pick'em that didn't know that Davis had played in the spring season, so it could just be that people are clueless. :lol:
