Aggie squeak out a win 59-55 after a costly Epps turnover allowed SLO to tie the game up with about 30 seconds to go. Tegan Young scored her only field goal on the ensuing possession, putting Davis up three. SLO came down and missed a FG, fouling Bennet on the rebound. Ryann made one of her two FTs, and the Mustangs failed to score with zeros on the clock.

Norris with a cool 15 rb, but only 8 points. Bennett lead the Aggie scoring with 20.

Epps had a pretty brutal road trip; finished today with 9 pts on 2-12 shooting, and five turnovers.

Dug through the NCAA's stats page since you mentioned Norris's prowess and found some neat stuff.

As mentioned, she's #3 in the nation in rb/gm (and total rebounds). She's also #4 in the nation in double-doubles with 15; three people tied ahead of her with 16.

I found it interesting that the leading rebounders are all at mid-majors. Seems like the P4 teams have more than one good rebounder or play offensive styles that lead to more than the centers getting rebounds.

It's interesting how much of the NCAA "rules" don't stand up to legal scrutiny once money gets involved.

ps. WBB Facebook pages notes that Norris just passed Cierra Hall for #2 all-time rebounder. :strong:

UCSD beat Santa Barbara, so the Aggies are tied for 2nd in conference at the moment (listed 3rd due to tiebreak with Irvine who lost at Hawaii).

I bet most national CFB fans don't actually know that UCLA and Cal are in the same system.

If we're voting, I prefer the script Davis and "lemon" logo on helmets, and the Block CA on water towers and other campus paraphernalia.
