Here's the blog post I read last month complaining about the seeding process in WBB. It focuses on the top 16, but the principle is the same all the way down, IMO.

It's tough to finally make it and then not seem like you're being given a chance to be competitive.

Well, yes. The first game was the obvious previous data point. :)

The Aggies are a much different team, IMO, now than they were in game 2 of the season--100% agree. Let's see if they can do better than the 2011 team did!

Common opponents: Washington St, Hawaii, CSUN, USF. All relatively easy wins for Stanford, though it's worth noting that CSUN did pretty well, relatively speaking.

According to the bracket that ESPN leaked, UCD is headed back to Stanford as a 15. :meh:

Uh scored 22 in the first quarter and 28 the rest of the way.

This was pretty amazing. UH scoring by quarter: 22/10/10/8. They made one (1) FG in the 4th quarter and 5 FTs. One FG!

Hall makes the All-Tournament Team, and Bertsch is the Tournament MVP. Nice!

Hawaii defeats Riverside 66-58 to advance to the conference final against the Aggies.

Aggies shot 54% (48% from three) to Irvine's 25% (11% from three).

Morgan leads Aggie scorers with 25, Ko.Eaton 16, Hall 15 (awesome!). Morgan the leading rebounder also with 8, Hall 6, Stobbart 5.

Only 10 TOs, which included three or so that the bench made.

82-50 final. Great start to the tourney.

Bench in with 3 minutes to go.

78-44 at the 4Q media timeout. Aggies clicking off the minutes and baskets.

Irvine has 16 more FG attempts than Davis, partly due to 18 offensive rebounds; however, they've only made 12 shots..

66-35 after three. Irvine held to five points in the quarter. Great defense!
