For any high school student athlete who might find this discussion, let's be clear. We've made HUGE strides!

This rivalry with a top FCS team is a perfect example.

Last year we lost to the same team 63-30, a 33 point loss. This past weekend we lose on a last second field goal miss, losing by 3 points. (We missed 3 FGs, total.)

That's a 30 point improvement.

I might have missed a few when I was standing in the concession lines.

They're more connected, yet less. In our day we also wanted to be seen, but then we'd connect w the band the game, the strategy. Now the dumb phone rules all. Parents bear a chunk of the blame, many have stopped parenting.

The dept is also playing catch up. 5 ADs, 3rd Ass AD for Fraising, no Ass AD for mrkting, The Aggie coming back. Thank goodness we have a stadium and traditions. Hawk was hired bc he can coach and motivate.

Tip from a friend. When she goes to lunch with her children she has everyone put their phones in the middle of the table. First person to reach for the phone pays for the meal.

I'm told he missed passing whatever test they have by a thin margin, so he will be back next game.

This was essentially our first two minute drill under game pressure. We've either won or lost comfortably. Maier, Modise, Tehran, Martin and at least Montgomery all new and most probably not at Spring practice. With the Bye week, I'm sure we'll go over it. Did we run the fly Sat?

I think our kicker was perfect before Saturday. One kick was blocked.

Recruit Chris Olave from San Diego, who has approx 10 offers, was just offered by Ohio State football on his way to the UCD / EWU contest.

I really didn't understand the first few short plays on that drive when we needed at least 10 yards a clip. I think EWU was also in a soft prevent D. Our kicker should have been attempting a 35 yard FG. I didn't feel safe when we were up 11. They can score so damn fast, their offense is "elite".

Gender equity numbers always a consideration.

Last game was running of the first years, pics I have seen show half the kids taping their own run. Maybe ICA thought Brewfest was enough.

Our unheralded juco players are really contributing. Maier, Moe, Flowers, Modise, Cloud, Martin, O'Brion. Great assessment of needs by coaches.

Thought I saw Logan Montogomery open a few times, one could have been a big gain. Is Aaron Moore ok? We missed RP. That 71 yard strike was a killer. Haven't seen Crawford or Trimble. Rshirting? Looked like a redshirt and staffer walked in front of our kicking team warming up on sideline. Improved concessions, except if it were a sellout they would have been dramatically understaffed.

CJ threw a perfect pass into triple coverage. Is our fly sweep sleeping?

My guess is several changes. Huge demographic changes, short attention spans, rebuilding a tradition, possible poor comm w/ students ... it may be the lure of TV is required (hoops)... we've yet to replace Ass AD Mkting, and not sure we had the basics covered. And where is Aggie Pack leadership? Some of our fans also seem uptight.

So close. So close. Curious play calling to begin the last 1 1/2 minutes. Short plays instead of chunks of 10 and 12 yards. The short plays then required TOs to be used.

The quick long strike to #10 really hurt when we were up 10 or 11.
