  • FCS Games of Note: Week 4
Wow, 35-27 Idaho. EWU now 1-3.

    Montana 47-27 over Monmouth.
    San Diego 31-23 over Harvard.
Montana State 56-21 over Norfolk (1-3).
South Dakota 14-6 over N Colorado.
Portland State up huge, 52-6 in the 3rd.

    Cal (#23) 28-20 over Mississippi.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
NDSU more so than Cal. Cal was a turnover fest, I don't recall many extended drives on offense.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
Three picks, 2 too many ... dropped pick, some missed tackles ... two extra LBs would help in a game like this ... ESPN+ (Bison?) announcers saying they were pounding the A gap on their 4th quarter power drives ... it seemed we waited a bit to change our alignment, when we did it seemed to work ... I missed our early TD called back (Tehran Thomas?) ... TE penalty tough.

Announcers and players said Maier took some hits. Announcers were Midwest fair. Our ball-control hurry up West Coast passing offense worked so well in Q3, running seemed to interrupt our momentum. Their D appeared to get tired. It seems we don't go deep. They said we ran 90 plays? Great overall effort, USD haze put to rest.

Buckle up, Montana coming to town.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
How often does he go deep?

Don't understand 2 runs on 1st and 25, esp when our pass game doing so well.

"The biggest question is whether the UC Davis defense can match NDSU physically for all 60 minutes. That will be the difference in the game.

"In the summer, this matchup was looked at as one of the best in the FCS. Now, not many are giving the Aggies a chance of winning. They'll either show why that USD game was a sign of things to come, or they'll prove they're still a threat in the national title picture."

  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Can you please explain the shirt.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
Get togethers for the game in Davis or the Bay Area?
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Because of alleged events a year or more ago, in private lives, launched by some people who have publicly stated an agenda (and the alleged perps can't reply or question the accusers), the major change is the Administration takes control of the Band. That's the takeaway. Do I have this right?

And now that the Band shows class and supports the football team as instrument-less students, and the team supports the Band, Administrators are trying to micro manage that?

Can they bar Band members in limbo from attending football games?
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
EWU seems to always have a lightning guy on special teams that can drop a quick TD on a team.

Coach Tucker had a JC return guy committed go Davis when he first arrived, but he flipped and went D1A, where he rarely played.
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
Can this go on Facebook, out to the Grid Club, TeamAggie?
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
    When does the team depart?

Addition to a previous post: we also have SIZE on both lines! Go Ags!
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
Same reason we can't have cow bells.
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
I think there has been a decision to protect Maier 100%, which I understand. ... I believe Biggs was platooned one year. I just wonder if we have the illusive "x" factor ... I was hoping it would be TT, may still be.

Some Bison fans boasting of their O Line athleticism.

From Bison fan met1990: "I was too young to remember those games in the 80s, but my dad always talked about them and the train engine/whistle they apparently played in the endzone at Cal Davis back in the day (maybe they still do)."
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
I've seen pictures going back to WWII!
  • Bad press for the Band-Uh!
When was the last time the Band was absent?
  • Week 4: UC Davis @ North Dakota State
Ditto. I've thought 3rd quarter, no time to adjust. He seemed very mobile in his limited PT, plus his time at the JC. Coaches have the advantage, they see him in practice. (We saw CJ in the spring game with accuracy problems.)

San Diego: why couldn't we stop a Patriot League team?

We beat em by 33 last year, 28 year before. NDSU beat em by 35 in the 2017 playoffs, FWIW. Hopefully, its an aberration.

The large imbalances are gone. We are fully funded (scholarships), we have a new stadium, top flight coaches, success, momentum. Let's go get it! (But no Band-uh.)
