How would Ben Scott rank w our current QBs?

I love all our guys, but maybe we need a change.
  • Week 12: Sac State @ UC Davis Causeway Classic 2021
Trying to be as optimistic as possible ... if we made our FG, and Harrell scored on the deep ball... that theoretically makes it 27-17. ... still, Sac dominated. HR looked great in limited action, and Blake Thorpe made at least one difficult, contested catch (3 total).

Should we have brought in HR earlier?

Fantastic. But you know the Bison have something like this.

    Feedback from alums, post-game.

    1. We came out with no energy, poor body language. Sac came focused and ready.
    2. We have no identity.
    3. Our offense is basic with a few wrinkles.
    4. Why no quick slants?
    5. Why don't we ever play UG & LL together?
    6. One individual claimed our Center and Left Guard can't block and cripple our running game. Above my paygrade.
    7. We don't throw deep enough to keep the Defense honest, we don't test DBs
    8. Universal unhappiness with our Offense and play calling
    9. Why does TT rarely hand off? (Predictable.)
  • Comparing Dan Hawkins and Troy Taylor
We all know Coach Hawkins is a good coach and turned us around, but can we get to the EWU level?

Lots of talk amongst alums and football fans postgame about our odd offense, play calling, and strategy.
  • 2021 FCS Football Playoffs
Skattebo is over 10 YPC.... Strong is 15 pounds heavier (205 pounds), and can apparently run over, and around people.
  • Week 12: Sac State @ UC Davis Causeway Classic 2021
A few Stats that jump out:

    - Vaughn didn't play

    Are our lines that depleted?

I could be biased, but Thorpe had at least one grab when pressured heavily (3 total). We had opposite results when throwing to Granfors. Good teams locking down UG (2.5 ypc).

Why do we think it's wise to have a RB throw across the field, deep?

Great crowd. Looooooonnnng food lines, concessions understaffed, one shut down all season, TVs off. Is help that difficult to find?
  • Week 12: Sac State @ UC Davis Causeway Classic 2021
    1. QB situation has gone backwards
    2. Do we have a Bob Foster motivator on staff?
    3. Is it time to try Gunnor Faulk? Nothing to lose (He's mobile.)
    4. Offense uninspired, like our band
    5. Our Defense probably OK given our poor Offense.
    6. Not the best Aggie team ever
    7. Do we need JC transfers for our OLine?
    8. Our weak schedule may have been a disservice
  • Students to vote on defending ICA?
The huge increases are housing and student fees. Shocking the numbers I've heard thrown around for the dorms, $1200 a month, $1400 a month (bed and meal plan).

A friend on campus thinks Mrak Hall (Chancellor May) cutting Physical Education was a big strategic mistake. Classes and coaches highly popular. Especially since it was part of the Referendum (contract) with students. Which is now a lawsuit.

Exactly. Which was why I thought we'd give a backup more time vs Dixie State in the 2nd half, but HR stayed in and was running late in the game.
  • Week 12: Sac State @ UC Davis Causeway Classic 2021
I'd figure w TT, we have practice experience w a mobile QB.

Mr. Wong wrote an Op Ed recently.

Sheep with cash fleece: We are paying more than $550 a year to fund a program many of us do not benefit from

"UC Davis charges the student body $19 million annually to fund the athletics program that only benefits 700 students"

"...Each year, the UC system and UC Davis administration take more and more from us through tuition and student fee increases while offering less and less. UC tuition is going up, and student fees at UC Davis have consistently increased each year. This places an even bigger burden on more than 9,200 [sic] UC Davis undergraduates who average $5,145 in federal student loans per year. Meanwhile, the UC Davis administration unilaterally and abruptly cut the physical education program effective winter quarter 2021, which has led to “loss of low-unit courses that help students meet financial aid requirements....” [my emphasis]

I believe we'd lose all athletics.

"If we don’t change something we will lose this game. Doe the [Cody] Hawk[ins] have the ability to do this?"

Good question(s). Just execution? Or a major change... Hastings WC Offense, w some deep tosses, or some argue HR?

Oldbanduhalum - enjoyed Guads on 3rd Street. (Fresh Street tacos.) They could use a visible menu board & hot sauces identified... 3rd Street is looking very tailored, not sold on the bike parts spire... 3rd Street commercial units facing Hickey getting new stairs and balconies... the Death Star has some huge cracks at ground level (foundation) for water intrusion, settling sidewalks, and the large 1100 lecture hall still closed. Surprised nothing done the last year. The Quad, as always, looked great.
  • Final report on baseball team released
Dr. Blue and Mr. Flushman apparently thought it was addressed and handled.

Who brought it back. Rocko DeLuca or special assistant to the AD and attorney Chanel Glasper?
