I am surprised TE Wes Preece is not on there. I would bet he will be at the end of the season.

His PR in the 100 meters is 10.6. He ran that as a junior in high school. He is most definitely fast. Nice get for the Aggies.

Programs that had large signing classes will rank higher. Also it only included high school players. Cal Poly had a small class of 15 players and of those 5 were Juco transfers and 1 was a FBS transfer so Hero Sports only counted 9 players for a team like Cal Poly.

Unfortunately FBS teams only offer full scholarships and the PAC 12 schools offer full cost of attendance which mean they give checks to athletes.

Cal Poly had one of Williams teammates (Offensive Lineman) visit this weekend. He also picked up a Fresno State Offer this week. We might have been able to fend off FSU with our academics and location, but unfortunately he also picked a Colorado offer. That one will be a little tougher.

Congrats on a great season. Heart breaking loss, but you have to be proud of the way they competed after your first trip to EWU. They left it all out on the field and came so close. Great game and season.

We tried to give the game back to NAU. We score 38 unanswered points by mixing it up on offense (2 passing TDs and another long pass to the 1 yard line) and then got conservative and had to hang on. Our offense can be good when they are not so predictable.

Cal Poly football can not get a player in that meets the minimum CSU standard. They can get players in that are below the Cal Poly standard, but it is still way, way above the CSU standard. The problem is even if we or Davis could get in a player that meets the minimum CSU standard they would not be able to compete in the classroom and would more than likely flunk out.

Cal Poly has faced two of the better defenses in the FCS in NDSU and Weber State. I would say both are better than any defense the Aggies have faced with the exception of Stanford.

Hawk has brought an incredible amount of energy and buzz to Davis. He bleeds Aggie Pride and it shows.

We know you have an All-American TE and 2 or 3 other WRs any team at this level would love to have. We also know you have a much improved running game and defense. We know we have to play a near perfect game and have a few breaks go our way to win. One can hope and it is a rivalry game where things don’t always go the way people expect.

If Davis gets up early or we turn over the ball it could be a long day. If on the other hand we can chew up the clock, score and keep the Aggie offense on the sideline for long periods we have a chance. Problem is that is a really BIG if.

I do not expect a sellout with our record over the last two seasons, but if there is a Cal Poly football game that has any chance of selling out this season it will be this game. The Aggie fans will travel and they will bring their band. If the game is a dud the battle of the bands after the game should be good. It is also family weekend so that should also increase attendance. I just hope we can at least make a game of it.
