  • 2018-19 Causeway Cup
After the mens' basketball result the running Causeway score is UCD 25, CSUS 10.
  • Bring back the Cow Bells for the Playoffs?
A default plan, (for the future...). If someone can get the engine up and running, film it and play the film on the display on the scoreboard...

Does it have to be in the bowl where steam, smoke etc., may pool and set off public health alarms? Are there places "on the rim" where it would still be visible, effective, etc.?
  • Bring back the Cow Bells for the Playoffs?
Get rid of the steam engine because it bothered visiting teams? I say bring it back and put a second one in the opposite corner! No more worrying what opponents think. From now on it's Davis first! Davis first! Make the Aggies Great Again!
  • Bring back the Cow Bells for the Playoffs?
Don't know if it is the same engine, but years ago there was one in the Picnic Day parade. Had wood bolted to the metal wheels to keep them from tearing up the street. Between the ag school, engineering school and a lot of farmers in the area*, you'd think someone could keep it operating.

And if as expected, we host UNI, it should be appreciated by at least some of their fans.

*Is there still an antique truck museum in Woodland?
  • Bring back the Cow Bells for the Playoffs?
Really miss the steam traction engine.
  • Mens' Water Polo, 2018
Ags end their season in the conference finals with an 11-10 loss to UCSD.
  • Mens' Water Polo, 2018
Aggie mens' water polo finished the regular conference water season two weeks ago with close matches against visiting LMU and UCSD. Aggies edged the Lions, but fell to the Tritons for a 6-1 conference record. The following week they closed the regular season with an upset 12-7 home victory over UOP. That strong finish has carried through to this weekends WWPA conference tournament in Fresno. Ags won their quarter final match with a 19-6 win over Concordia University, Irvine and today they defeated LMU in a semi-final game, 17-8. The Aggies will meet UCSD in the final match tomorrow. The Ags and Tritons will meet in the conference final for what must be the (large number here) straight time. The winner gets the conferences bid to the NCAA Championship Tournament.

    Go Ags!!
  • 2018-19 Causeway Cup
Late update: Causeway cross country points were decided at the NCAA West Regionals in Sacramento on Nov. 9th. Aggie women finished 19th and Sac State women finished right behind them at 20th, with the 5 Causeway points going to UCD. Sac State's men finished 25th, however the UCD men did not field the required five runners so they earned no points as a team, resulting in Sac's first Causeway points this year. At that point the running score was UCD 20, CSUS 5.

WIth today's football victory the current Causeway Cup score is UCD 25, CSUS 5. With 85 available points it will take 43 to win the Cup.

Next event is men's basketball on Nov. 20th, this coming Tuesday, at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento. Women's basketball follows on Dec. 7th at Sac, to complete the 2018 matches.

    Go Ags!!
  • Week 12: CAUSEWAY
Big Game moved to December 1st due to air quality issues.
  • Kennesaw State public relations working hard....
I think NDSU owns the Big Ten and Big XII. They could easily fit into the Big Ten West and displace Minnesota or Illinois. ....Too bad for the Bison that they didn't schedule Nebraska this year.
  • Kennesaw State public relations working hard....
As usual, you are probably right...I was thinking more of Atlanta as a place that is more attractive to the business and money people at ESPN. Bigger town, easier flights, likelihood of available equipment and crew....and that the talent, both behind and in front of the cameras would rather spend Friday night in Atlanta than in smaller rural areas like Fargo or Davis.
  • Kennesaw State public relations working hard....
Best thing Kennesaw State may have going is the site. Atlanta is a better selling point than Fargo, Davis, etc. Like the realtors say, the three most important things are "location, location, location."
  • FCS Bracketology
Three Big Sky schools with first round byes.....!!!
  • FCS Bracketology
One game at a time - at the half yesterday who thought we would be looking down the road at playoffs....but should the cards fall where we hope, let's not be the playoff team that falls to USD.

(A couple of years ago I thought that Iowa would learn from the other Big Ten and Big XII schools and not look past NDSU, but the fates had other plans.)
  • Week 9: UC Davis @ Montana
Lest we forget that most important statistic: Montana time of possession: 30:45; UCD time of possession: 29:15
  • Week 9: Big Sky
Attendance at PSU @ Slack: 3,267

From your photo it looks like they may be including players and coaches.
  • Week 9: Big Sky
Not Big Sky, but Cal beat Washington, 12-10, today. That's a shocker.
  • Mens' Water Polo, 2018
Water polo score from Stanford: Stanford 13, UCD 10. A loss to be sure, but with each season we are doing better against the big four water polo schools.
  • 2018-19 Causeway Cup
    Ooops, wrong thread.
  • 2018-19 Causeway Cup
