Rough start even on D. Ags are playing out of control. They need to settle down.

Big west basketball has come a long way. We use to get destroyed by playing up a level. It was night and day with power 5 bigs and athleticism. The last few years, I’ve felt that we have been pretty even with these types of schools to be honest.

Things we knew

1) TY will be our guy
2) our D will be awesome

The questions we had
1) who is going to be a number two to take pressure off of TY. After one game that is a BIG question mark.
2) we need a 3rd guy who can put up 10-15 and we need 1-2 guys who can light it up from 3. Also a question mark with kane gone.

Observation:
1) we looked horrendous against the zone. What happened to Nico playing the spot at the free throw line to break it?


I worry that if TY can’t get support, he will start to force up shots and that will lead to the lack of assists. He’s a stud and we are lucky he stayed. We need support for him.

Doubling down and where is borra and mani? I think we could have used them tonight!

I like the grass. I think it adds character. Without it our stadium wouldn’t feel unique at all.

I love when we play big opponents. Do I wish we had one game before this, yes. Our non conference schedule has more big names than previous years.

I want more jordan fisher. Thinking of starting a new thread to get the coaching staffs attention.

Looks like Chima and TJ Shortd faced off today. 2 point game.

I was comparing to where we are now not at the next level.

I want to see us move up and with that better facilities. But at our current level, it could be a whole lot worse.

I’m the first to say that we need to focus more on athletics to be taken seriously and have dreams to play in the real D1… I have to say that our stadium and basketball arena are pretty nice. So many other teams faculties feel like a high school where ours feels like many notches above. We have a full circular football stadium and the grass really adds a nice touch.

Same goes for basketball….

We have D1 football but we always need to add the caveats of fcs.

JT said it right in the podcast and I’m paraphrasing. We strive to be a top academic we should be striving to be a top athletic program. There is no reason we can’t be.

We aren’t attracting a sports fan student right now. I think that can change over time with a plan to eventually move up.

Pass D lives and dies with pressure on the QB from the front four. You can only ask DBs to do their job for so long. Truthfully I think our secondary is a strength of ours and they are being outed because of literally a non existent pass rush…
