    Coach Jeff Harada’s Fullerton Titans are one of two winless teams in the Big West, even though they rank in the middle of the conference in offensive output (5th), and scoring defense (6th). Fullerton has played several teams very tough, including common opponent San Diego State - losing only by 3 to the Aztecs. The Titans are a young team, with 8 of 13 players being freshmen or sophomores.

    Sophomore UTEP transfer Aaliyah Stanton (13.1 ppg) leads the team in scoring, followed by senior Aixchel Hernandez and junior Demonnie Lagway both contributing 9.1 ppg. Sophomore Eva Livingston paces the Titans on the boards (8.6 rpg) followed by Hernandez at 7.8 rpg. One area in which Fullerton excels is in defending the 3-pt shot, standing s close 2nd to UCD in the Big West and 13th best in the nation to Davis’ 10th.

    This is a must-focus game for Davis with a well-rested, unbeaten Long Beach State looming on Saturday. With a bye on Thursday, LBSU will have had the entire week to prepare for the Aggies.

    Senior guard Tova Sabel named to NCAA D1 Women’s Starting 5 this week.

    Earlier in the week, Sabel was named Big West Player of the Week, the 5th time in her Aggie career she’s been honored. Sabel scored her 1,000th point as an Aggie in the win over CSU Bakersfield.

    Former UC Davis women's basketball star, Evanne Turner, has signed a contract with Finnish basketball team BC Nokia, playing in Korisliiga, Finland's top professional league.

    Turner most recently played in the 3x3 Basketball Association (3XBA) is the first and only professional women’s FIBA 3x3 league and development program in the United States.

    Are teams 4 or 5 players?
    Evanne for sure - can shoot the 3, defend, and handle the ball.
    Katie Toole - can score at all 3 levels, post up and defend. Plays longer than you think she is
    Morgan? - I think she’s developed her game (shooting the 3) to be a stretch 4, so probably.
    Cierra Hall - Versatile; just gets it done
    Tova Sabel - similar to Evanne but can post up bigger players

    We only go to the women’s games - too many grandkids playing too many sports. That trumps doing both. So clueless about the men.

    Boy, the announcers for this game were awful. Almost as bad as the bros who did the Bakersfield game. Yammer yammer yammer and let’s talk about ourselves! I skipped ahead. We watched this after we got home from the men’s game.
