Ferris (Big Rapids, MI) has a hell of a program, but my goodness Montana - not an impressive victory against a Division II squad. I'll give credit where it's due, however, Ferris is coming off back-to-back DII National Championships. They've got some guys who can really play.

Sac lost 2 QBs and 2 (?) stud running backs. How are they still so solid? They must still be reaping recruiting benefits from Troy Taylor? Then success breeds success.

they do a good job except for the homer EWU guy Kylor whose go to is off color language and misuse of words, and who does no research. Oh, wait - he’s an EWU grad.

The Jamie guy (JMU) knows his stuff and the NDSU guy Matthew has a great voice, is unbiased and is a good moderator.

Sac just beat Stanford, and it's like, yeah, Idaho over Sac...and by 10+. Don't get it.

losing to Cal is more impressive than barely beating Stanford ? I'm good with Sac State losing all their remaining games leading up to the Causeway Classic.

Where are you seeing that line? Didn't think FCS v. FCS were posted until the morning of game

It was a comment late in the FCS podcast.

it’s just their (Idaho podcast) prediction. Guess we could jog their memory with their very confident prediction of Idaho over the Aggies last year vs the reality of a relative blowout - man that was a good game for the Ags. They have also said in the past that Hawkins seems to have their number.

Northern Arizona 14 Montana 0 early 2nd quarter.
Not too surprised. Montana has questionable offense against any sort of defense.

Weird that it seems a Montana crew (or at least the color guy) is a Montana announcer and not NAU despite being in Flagstaff.

Sac and Idaho are locked in dogfight. Idaho is up 13-10 at the half.

Both teams have made critical personal fouls. Idaho just had 2 personal fouls on Sac's final drive of the half which allowed the Hornets to score with 30 seconds left.

Portland State - 52 Cal Poly -14 heading into halftime... woooooof (someone should get fired after this one)

    Idaho - 13 Sac State - 10 halftime

    NAU - 21 Montana - 14 heading into halftime

NAU 28 Montana 14 with 1:00 to go and NAU has the ball. Montana is, as always, way over-rated. They feast on her games against weak non- conference foes.

Idaho kicks a 30 yard FG with 1 second to go to take the lead over Sac 30-27 and then Sac fumbled the a lateral on the kickoff return and Idaho scooped it up for a TD and wins 36-27. This was a great, physical football game.

Both teams hurt themselves with personal fouls but, none bigger, was a Sac personal foul on the Idaho's final kickoff return that put them in the driver's seat near mid-field.

Both of these teams are loaded with size and speed and have a lot tricks in their playbooks. Both teams had big gainers on double reverse, flea-flicker pass plays.

    Montana losses to NAU 28-14

“We’ve got to keep Montana in the top 15 because they just had a quality loss to an NAU team that’s good enough to beat Montana” — the STATS poll voters, probably

    Good on the Vandals!
SLO - ouch. I’m starting to feel sorry for them. Historically such a strong program. Remember that dreaded triple option? They were a force to be dealt with. Hopefully they can turn it around so the golden horse shoe has meaning again.

I think Poly is going to have a big chip on their shoulder next week when we go there regardless of how we do tonight. They'll be fired up to get the monkey off their back.
